The big insect-like thing crawling up the hole? Yeah you just use arrows. Shoot it in the head, then the orb will glow and you shoot that. Rinse and repeat.

I don't think it hints at DOA5 or NG3. The NG series takes place before DOA1. I think it's just another tie-in to the DOA universe and great to see.

I think using the main character of DOA(when they already have a couple of tie ins already, means something). It's been 4 years since the last one, so it it's about due.

The second part of your sentence isn't happening :( My hands got tired and I quit. Fucking retarded idea to be stuck with weak ass projectiles.

I'm half way through NG2 on the 360, and even though it's not quiet as good as the original NG I'm still enjoying the game, now the question is, is it worth getting NG2 Sigma? i though NG2 difficulty watered down a bit and it's not as challenging as the first one, did they bump the difficulty in NG2 Sigma? also did they add any new levels? and no bouncing boobs is not a selling point for me.

3 new levels(one for each gal), revamped all the stages(time filler puzzles are gone, and retard boss fights are fixed), added a co op team mission mode, and just improved the game visually.

Do you own stock in the game? Why would you skirt his question? It's significantly easier than NG2.

hmmmm....sounds goo then, i just might pick it up, specially that now it has online co-op. though the video review on game spot says the game is easier.....oh what the heck, it'll give me time to finish it and move on to the next game. i got stuck at an annoying boss in the 360 version, it's the huge monster that climbs up a cave. he kicked my ass numerous times that i gave up, but i'll give it another shot today.

btw, does NG2S run at 1080p?

If you think Ninja Gaiden 2 is easy, you'll be blowing through NG Sigma 2 like it was the easiest game in the world.

I've already beaten in on Acolyte and Warrior and I'm already half way through on Mentor.

Damn people. Stop hoarding essence and spamming UTs over and over. I hate when people do that and then we keep dying because they keep using up all the blue essence for UTs.

Anyone else having trouble installing the costume from the CE (European one)?

When I download it somehow the game data gets moved to that folder with demo's and downloaded games into something called "CE DLC" (3+Gb so I'm pretty sure it's the normal game data) with a weird almost DOSboxlooking icon. When I try starting that it says "can't download right now, try later" eventhough it actually already has been downloaded... Starting the game gets you nothing but blackness after the "don't turn off when HD blah blah" screen, you can still quit the game and get back to the XMB... Deleting the "CE DLC" is the only way to get the game to work again, but you need to re-install when you start it... I liked the animated install as much as the next guy but the fifth time now it's getting kinda old. :lol

I read in other forum that many people have the same problem, I guess we should play without that costume till the thing get fixed.

I've played a lot more co-op missions. There's a ton of lag. Though, some games you get used to it and kinda disregard it. Seriously, patch this shit, Team Ninja.

Regardless, it's fun as hell.

Found that Izuna drop scroll. The body is right at the doorway on the second mission when you leave the big open area before you start to descend up the stairs with those ninja archers waiting for you in the towers.

oh, duh ^
When I read "commentary from Hayashi" and etc, I thought "oh, hey, bonofied documentary material. That sounds worthwhile." Instead, its 2 paragraphs of him regurgitating something that's not insightful in the least.

I wish I read the fine print :(

*sigh*

But hey, I just got up to Chapter 3, and this game is fucking aaaaaaawwwwwesssome :D :D :D :D

Its sooooo good. It reminds me of how awesome the original Ninja Gaiden was (I didn't bother to get very far in Sigma 1), but with a whole slew of improvements, new weapons, and very, very pretty graphics :D :D :D

RYU IS SO MANLY :lol :lol He's so kakouii~! :lol

Ryu > Kratos and Dante combined ANY DAY, bitches.

It is considerably easier than NG2. NGS2 is still fairly challenging, but if you find NG2 easy, this will be a cakewalk for you. I finished NG2 on Master Ninja and after experiencing that, this one seems much more balanced, easier and fair. The projectile spamming so far isn't near as frustrating as it was on NG2 and most of the boss fights have been altered for the better imo. I am basically blowing through Mentor so far and I feel that Master Ninja shouldn't be as difficult as it was on the X360 version. There are less enemies on screen making the game easier, but they seem like they can take more damage. Now the Team Missions on Ultimate Ninja are extremely challenging. So far I haven't completed one yet. I admit I haven't tried them too much, but they are pretty terrifying. If you are considering this for something more challenging than NG2, you might be disappointed, but if you are looking for a more polished version of the same game some new content and better graphics, I think it is worth checking out. I own both versions and I am still having a blast with the game. Oh yeah, you probably know it, but the game is still pretty brutal, but not near as gory.

Yes but, at least now we know that the health bar turns gold when master ninja is beaten. Yay. lol

You should get NGS2. The gameplay is much more polished than the original

1. NGS2 feels easier than the original, because it's more fair and balanced. In higher difficulty, every encounter is still dangerous, because enemies deal more damages and they are a lot more durable. At least the enemies don't rain explosive projectiles on you.

2. Boss fights are tweaked. Genshin is noticably improved. He has ninpo and UT attacks now. Also you can perform izuna drop on him. It makes all the battles with him more satisfying.

3. There are more ninja enemies than larger enemies. Personally I like it this way, since I can perform many combos on them. In higher difficulty higher rank enemy ninjas can take 3 izuna drops before they die.

4. All the annoying battles/enemies are removed. no jellyfish, no worm tunnel, IS spam has been toned down, grey ninjas with explosive arrow have been toned down.

5. Chapter Challenge. This is one of the best features introduced I believed. I can see spending tons of hours on chapter challenge.

Cons:
1. My favorite level, chapter 11, has been significantly toned down, that the level feels empty now. I hope I'll see more enemies in MNM

What the fuck..I downloaded the dlc that comes with the pal CE and the game refuses to go past the loading screen. The only way to get it to work is to delete the dlc. This also happens if you try it again after you install.

Hahah, you'll get used to it. I don't even think about it anymore. Ninja Gaiden 1 had far more trecherous platforming sections.

If by corner wall running, you mean Ryu climbling up a room by wall running on side after side, you know you have to jump onto each successive wall, right? Ryu doesn't do it automatically.

He keeps jumping straight into the other wall instead of sideways and running on the other wall. Pisses me off.

I thought it was confirmed on b3d there were less enemies (and more tearing etc.). Stair scenario can now only handle waves of 5 enemies instead of 20 like in 360 version?

PAL version has decap and arm chopping off. Red blood, but the enemies have purple flesh.

Sigma didn't have this.
What? WHAT?

F****** p**** of freaking a**, why do they do that again?

I am going to break the EU CE edition I pre-ordered...

what I meant is that in many areas, larger enemies (those annoying puple imps) are now replaced by ninja enemies

What are the chances we'll see a versus mode DLC pac? Imagine the ragequits. Some of the online co-op I played had great connections, and if it's only two on-screen characters I imagine that'll help. But I'm no programmer.

edit: I guess nvm. I reread the Edge 202 interview with Hayashi: "When we started thinking about the multiplayer experience, we realised versus game types weren't the way to go. Co-op held more appeal for us, though this is still just a test of our ideas...We haven't given up on the versus experience, though, it's just something Dead or Alive is better suited to."
Maybe DOA5 is coming after all.

That's really weird. Maybe you're jumping too late? You can jump relatively early and still make it.

I don't believe this timeline bullshit , I don't think that Ninja Gaiden and DOA is in the same universe or even timeline at all.

Kasumi
in Sigma 2 just shits on the timeline theory , because if NG is before DOA , Ayane should got her butt wiped with Hayate by her father Raidou ( not helping other clan ) and her shitty sister should not being a Kunoichi yet .

DOA and NG is like main Mario game and Smash Bros series , they are just connected by the characters not stories , time line or events.

Didn't the Ayane/Hayate butt wiping already happened a while before NG. Ayane's already been exiled as well. Hayate and Kasumi are part of their own clan, and therefore we don't see anything regarding them in NG.

Is it easy to make and upload a video? Do you need an external device or do you just use ninja cinema? can u tell me the process?

You need a video capture device to do it. They range in price based on the quality of the capture.

why can I not use ninja cinema? I thought that's what it's for

You can upload a gameplay video... to the leaderboards for others to download on their PS3s.

Ninja Cinema doesn't capture an actual video file. It captures the commands and movements of both the AI and the player, and then plays them back using the engine like Halo 3 (I think?). When you save a Ninja Cinema file, you can't use that file to watch it on a computer or anything. You can just upload one clip for other people to download onto their PS3s.

You should know this from Ninja Cinema on the 360 version, right?

Ah well, at least I'm not the only one. I was worried that I had a faulty disc or the DLC code was wrong or something. How borked is that though?

If I had a splitter, I could capture video of the game and upload it (or a video out on my TV), but unfortunately not. I can only capture standard definition, but it's better than nothing. There don't seem to be many vids online right now.

Are there HDMI to AVI converters? I doubt it.

Do we even know how much time takes place between Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2? NG2 could possibly exist in a feasible Dead or Alive timeline.

Yes. We can base it off of Ayane's age. She's one year older from NG1 to NG2. She's also one year older from NG2 to the first Dead or Alive.

But then that's where everyone stops aging, so the timeline is pretty much fucked from then on. :lol Ayane's been 16 for the past 5 years.

Dude, don't even bother with trying to make any sense of the DOA/NG timeline. It's like porn: story is just there to give you a breather.
