Nintendo Direct on April 12 (3PM PT, Switch/3DS, mainly Splarms)

Gimme that VC info
and that rumored XCX port

Oh, I'm excited for arms
and smash reveal. I believe
so this pleases me. Hell if they announce a bundle for arms it might make me jump on the switch.

Wasn't really a fan of the Splatoon beta and I don't like motion control so I probably won't be getting Arms either but I'm excited that people will be enjoying some of this stuff. I hope they will talk about VC or something else as well as those two games.

I expect to see Pikmin 3DS as well. I forgot about Ever Oasis though, thank you. And I agree at least one game announcement is likely.
Sorry. I meant to put Pikmin 3DS too. Also ARMS release for late May. Hopefully late June or July date for Splatoon 2.

You can play ARMS with traditional standard controls.

Hah is it bad that I am more concerned/wondering about the other parts, cool we see some more Splatoon 2 and Arms, hopefully we get dates for launch, more on the Arms roster and Nintendo's plans for Splat2 - specifically what if any changes are being done to lobby, map rotation and modes.

I would like to see maybe 10 minutes dedicated to other stuff coming up through E3 and maybe an E3 tease.

I'm most curious about what the post launch support models/business models for ARMS and Splatoon 2 look like.

Games like this tend to live or die by the type of support they get after launch.

It's the beginning of the generation too, so it's not like you want Splatoon 2 to fall over after a year unless they're releasing new Splatoon games all the time.

I believe they've already said that Splatoon 2 will have as much post-release support as Splatoon 1, which was a fucking lot.

ARMS can be played with "traditional" controls.

Hm, the day before the weekly eShop update, eh? Virtual Console incoming!

No, I don't really believe this.

I doubt it, but maybe they could share some details on their E3 2017 offering? I will tune in regardless, nice to see a new Nintendo Direct.

You have an option not to use a motion control.

That was sooner than expected, though a Direct this month wasn't surprising. Can't wait for the blow-out of ARMS info.

You can turn off motion controls for both games.

I never got to play Splatoon 2, I am presuming because I have a router hooked into a router in my living situation and their code wasn't built to handle that. As such, I would like confirmation the game actually works online in my situation before jumping in. But Arms. Ever since that first presentation...I've felt like Arms is a game that was built around Switch.

When it's worldwide we ALWAYS get a new game announcement!

I'm calling it
-Splatoon 2
-Ever Oasis
-ARMS
-Fire Emblem (the May 3DS game)
-new game (hoping for Switch!)

Don't forget that Pikmin 3DS game. Nintendo has those three exclusives coming to the 3DS still. That's not counting 3rd party...

Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey confirmed for the west please.
Even though there isn't much of a doubt that will come to the west.

I'm sure there will be a name change though, because Deep Strange Journey sounds like a porn title.

Definitely want Deep Strange Journey, but there's also Etrian Odyssey 5, MHXX (I'm starting to doubt this one will come over... on 3DS), and Radiata Historia remake.

I don't see that happening. E3 is only two months away. Nintendo likes to wait until we get closer to E3 to announce plans. They might do another Mega64 skit video in May.

They won't do E3 tease. They save that for late April or May.

my left field prediction:

Square Enix won't mention DQ XI (switch version) tomorrow, but there'll be an announcement during the Nintendo Direct.

I can't help but smile that the 3DS keeps on trucking while the Wii U has been forgotten in the dumpster it was thrown in.

I have the Switch but not interested in both games as I have played more than enough the Wii U ones.

wait, this post makes no sense

Arms is an all new IP that wasn't on Wii U and Splatoon 2 is a sequel

you literally haven't played either one on Wii U

Sure, but if it's over in 12 months, and they're not releasing another game, that's still not an astonishing situation for the game long term.

I'd rather they have some kind of monetization plan and then support it throughout the generation, unless as previously mentioned, they just intend to keep releasing new ones.

That's... pretty left-field, yeah. I don't really see the added value to that, unless they snagged the western publishing rights for the game, which would be huge news.
