Definitely. Having a setup where you can see the person in the context of what they're doing in-game, particularly anything involving 1:1 manipulation of objects, is going to have a big impact.

Honestly... unless the PSVR camera is in some strange mode during the use of the headset, and is unable to capture live video of you and the room around you, I see no reason that some PSVR games can't show something like THIS on the TV while you play, instead of simply showing what you see in your own visor:

The PS3 camera was really really shitty for the video quality it would place on screen, but perhaps it had to be in the "tracking mode" as well while using Move controllers. It would be awesome to see some 3D object or head projected on your body in place of the PSVR headset too lol

Edit: Actually, PSVR has a great example of allowing the TV user to watch the VR user in 3D space manipulating things... the multiplayer mode in Tumble VR:

All these pictures made me realize how massive these headsets are. Once the technology gets REALLY slim, it's going to be like holding the brick phones of the 80's

Couldn't they make the device smaller and have it connect to a bigger CPU base with Bluetooth or something? Why does all the electronics has to be in the headset?

You have a lot of sensors, large lenses and one or two displays inside a helmet which all take up space. Plus you don't want to use wireless technology as that introduces a lot of unwanted latency.

The stuff that takes up space are lenses, displays and sensors. They can't really be anywhere else. Putting the other stuff elsewhere would probably make it more bulky.

The bigger question is: "What is embarrassment?" Why do you feel embarrassed when you or another person wears VR goggles? Why do you care what other people think of you when you're in the privacy of your own home? Maybe the VR experience is worth the negative thoughts of other persons.
