Seems, that it's not a launch title anymore...

I just got a router and a surround system to enhance the experience. Unfortunately I still have a SDTV. A couple more months and I'll get a HDTV though.

Playing games in HD is ace but it won't do much to improve your enjoyment (it just makes everything look clearer and a lot nicer). Going from TV speakers to surround sound will just completely transform the way you enjoy gaming. Nothing else will immerse you as much as proper surround sound

Midas said:Hehe, I pre orderd mine in July. Even though I won't be getting all the games I want on launch day, I'm starting to feel excited too... No work on Thursday and Friday.
Forsete said:Why Thursday?
Midas said:Just an extra day to relax.
Forsete said:Cheater. :/
There is a microscopic chance my system might arrive on Thursday. Most likely after 16:00 (second shipment to the post office) so I might as well go to work that day.
Ceb said:Why didn't you order a home delivery (between 17-21)? I'm ****ed either way, because it'll take two days for the PS3 to get here, and they'll send it out on thursday.
Seiken said:So far, Resistances' online-thing only regonizes the consoles' region. So basically, Europe will only be able to play with Europe, and so on. However, I remember some rumours about Resistance having international servers in a patch.
Can someone confirm that?
Forsete said:SIBA has a pretty nice deal, plus they are open during midnight.
Midas said:Wow, that's nice. I guess I'm not getting my PS3 at Webhallen after all. :lol
Forsete said:Hold on.. Seems you only get KoH. Casino Royale first when you register your PS3, aka. thats the Sony offer.
Anybody heard anything new about the ps3 version? Are the vsync/fps issues still there? I'm thinking about picking this up if its still coming out on the 27th.Wollan said:Tom Clancys Splinter Cell: Double Agent - Ubisoft Entertainment SA - Disc
Spider_Jerusalem said:Guys, anyone heard rumors about PAL PS3s being unable to run NTSC games? I was told this from a shop clerk who says that they received the first consoles and tried running some import games on one of these, with no luck... I don't know the guy so he could have made it up entirely, I don't know.

Lain said:Are you sure he didn't try some PS2 import game? As being region free is one of the key point of PS3, and making it region locked only for EU would be totally a braindead move by SCEE.

He said to have tried Resistance and Formula One NTSC.Lain said:Are you sure he didn't try some PS2 import game? As being region free is one of the key point of PS3, and making it region locked only for EU would be totally a braindead move by SCEE.
This would explain it. Maybe he didn't know that demo units are locked this way (I didn't know, too). I hope this is the case. However tomorrow I'll try to investigate further.Midas said:It struck me that they might have tried the games on an IDU unit which is coded not to run anything except what Sony wants it to run.
spwolf said:US consoles cant play PAL PS2 games/dvd's, but that will be added in firmware update.
Since NTSC was first market to go out, PAL functionality should be added as soon as March 23rd update.
I highly doubt that.spwolf said:US consoles cant play PAL PS2 games/dvd's, but that will be added in firmware update.

This is what that guy said too... they tried NTSC games because Sony sent them the consoles but not the games.mrklaw said:BTW, anywhere got games in yet? I wouldn't mind VF5 or Virtua Tennis 3 for my JPN PS3, but most places seem to say they don't have the games yet, or are waiting for Friday.

Danj said:That would be a) silly and b) totally in keeping with SCEE's current policy of trying to ban all imports and alienate all their customers.
