So good, and the price difference between the two sizes are so small, really no reason not to get the bigger version.

I'd imagine that after so many years of making stuff for other people, China will be making very competitive stuff of their own in the near future. This phone looks great from the specs.

Dayum, great price.

The Nexus phones were one thing in terms of price performance, but this is incredible. Not going to get a new phone for a long time though.

I can't even comprehend what I'm reading. Those specs... that price... damn! Is this some fly by wire no name company that surprised everyone by announcing this or am I just out of the loop? Are people expecting this thing to actually be a high quality, well built flagship phone? Can I use it on Verizon? So many questions...

No name is the reason why this phone is so cheap. Much of what you usually pay is the brand.

There is a FAQ answering most of your questions on the forums, but their site is currently down because it's getting hammered. It is expected to be high quality, and the company was founded by an OPPO executive.

Also, I added press links and a link to a hands on article by engadget in the OP.

well the galaxy s5 was estimated to cost samsung $256 per unit in just parts. These guys are obviously doing a minimal mark up. Being based in china helps a load too.

It's a really sexy phone with a slick looking UI.

Considering that's my primary motivator in switching to a new brand, they have my attention.

Lau (CEO): "Therefore products should go back to basics: the users must feel good when using our products. If the users want something, we'll do it."

I want a 4.7" or 5" version please :)

5.5" ?
Jesus, what happened to hand sized phones...

Otherwise this looks great but come on I don't want a Galaxy Note, I want a phone that fits in my pocket and my hand comfortably :/

So god damn sexy!!

But 5.5 is too big for me. I can barely hold my S5 without struggling to type one handed. If they release a 4.8 or 5 inch version them I'm all in.

I'm looking at my iphone and it has two speakers at the bottom, are they not stereo?

Anyway, interesting proposition, let's see how the build quality is. I'm tired of super expensive phones being the norm.
