I would of taken a step onto the stage, looked around, yelled "fuck this" and then run back stage to cry.

Those pictures remind me of when I turned on CNN in late October 2004, the same day I was going to go see Kerry and Springsteen in Columbus, and saw video of a Springsteen-Kerry rally in Madison with 80,000 people.

I panicked and left for the rally immediately, though I had planned to leave two hours later. :lol

Obama brought his family to the counter to order sundaes,
dodging waitresses carrying trays loaded with fries, eggs and
sandwiches. His youngest daughter, Sascha, tried to place her request to
the row of new photographers behind the counter.
“These men aren’t taking your order,” Obama laughed. “These men
aren’t helping.”

Obama placed the order and swung into the dining area for a
couple of quick handshakes and photos. First up was the Bowles family,
dressed in motorcycle chaps and fresh from church. “Have you been out
biking?” Obama asked the father, Dwight Bowles.
“We have,” Dwight said. Want to go for a ride?”
The Senator demurred and posed for a photo with Dwight’s wife,
Pamela, and two young daughters. The family confided that they are
Republicans but Obama fans.
“We’re interested in what he stands for - change,” Pamela Bowles
said. “When you listen to him speak, he doesn’t sound like a politician.
He sounds sincere.”
Obama shook a few more hands and posed for photos with a church
youth group in a corner booth, then went outside for his ice cream.

Seeing how the estimated only 30k I would doubt they'd plan and place speakers in the far back of the 75k. What can those people see or hear?

The sound system was fine so we could hear everything but the man himself was the tiny, action-figure sized speck gesturing above some red, white and blue bunting. In the picture above, you see those trees way, way, way the fuck back in front of the building? That's where we were. We got in line three hours earlier, 11 blocks back and we still weren't able to get into the gate. At least it wasn't yesterday, when it got up to 95 degrees. That would have sucked.

Gah, St. Pete Forum is the location for the Tampa event? That sucks, it's harder to get to for me and is smaller than Raymond James (Less than 1/3rd the capacity).

After that WV video, my faith in the American people has been restored.

Next time the MSM says he can't get white voters show them this picture.

BTW, 75k is more than 10% of Portland's entire population :lol

McCain's camp responding to Obama calling out the lobbyists working on his campaign....

Just a few years ago when Barack Obama was beginning his career in politics he was launching it at the home of William Ayers, an unrepentant domestic terrorist who his chief strategist said Senator Obama was certainly friendly with. If Barack Obama is going to make associations the issue, we look forward to the debate about Senator Obama's associations and what they say about his judgment and readiness to be commander in chief.

The McCain campaign has recently put a strict policy in place and all personnel are required to be in compliance with it. Many fine people may have a conflict that is not reconcilable. Barak (sic) Obama’s dragging the names of good people through the mud publicly is the worst type of character assassination, especially when he has not made the names of his policy advisors public. Isn't that exactly the old politics he claims to reject but he is so clearly embracing?

Well at least there goes the cleanest campaign ever.:lol

I was at the Portland rally today, about 50 ft away from the stage (and yes, I'm totally sunburned). Here's a few GAF-exclusive photos.

There are an unfortunate number of typos in that for an official response.

I've noticed the McCain campaign has adopted a NO U! policy to addressing Obama lately.
