I guess I'm just the kind of person who prefers actual stats over a guessing game.
That's the point.
There's nothing wrong with presenting an opposing side of a story to get people thinking.
Bro went to trade in some games at bb and he said he saw people walking out with both consoles. Guess they just replenished b&m stock
I guess I'm just the kind of person who prefers actual stats over a guessing game.
That's my point, there aren't any. I guess I was being too vague in my comparisons.
So wait, you are the person that prefers actual stats to a guessing game, but its OK for you to assume and make up your own data, which you are clearly doing in this thread, just to present the opposing side of the story?
Do you even read what you are posting? You are going in circles making no sense, but at least its comical.
There are; Sony 1.1M+ in North America, 2.1+ worldwide -- Microsoft: 1M+ worldwide.
Actually, it's more like the point I was trying to make was completely missed by just about everyone here.

Sony's 2.1+ mil worldwide included Black Friday sales. Microsoft hasn't updated their sales figures since their launch.

So you're going to speculate?
Keep the dream alive man. For what it's worth though the two times this week Amazon had XBONE one was 4 hours and the second for six hours. Neither of those times did XBONE sell out within an hour.It's pretty clear that the demand for both consoles are relatively close, with PS4 being slightly in the lead, as most stores and online retailers like Amazon can't keep either of them in stock for very long.
Amazon in particular has had XO's for sale at random points throughout the last couple weeks, and they sell out within an hour. Which leads me to believe Microsoft is replenishing their stock a lot more actively than Sony is replenishing theirs.
Pretty sure that's the point. Most previous Black Fridays companies couldn't wait to crow about sales. Yet MS instead (after BF no less) thumped their chest about zombies killed.Sony's 2.1+ mil worldwide included Black Friday sales. Microsoft hasn't updated their sales figures since their launch.
Isn't that what we're all doing here anyway?

But I thought you wanted facts and statistics?

Not all speculation is created equal.
Some are using logic, Economics, and critical thinking.
Guess why?
At the store I went to, the guy told us to be back by store open to get back in line inside the store or they would sell our consoles. There was enough stock to buy a console without a ticket at the store too.Doesn't look like you're going to be getting a PS4 at Best Buy without a ticket. But people only have 3 hours to purchase.
It'd be nice, yeah. But without it, anyone can make a guess of how things are going.
Which we can assume means they haven't surpassed the 2 million mark yet and that Sony is still ahead of them.
MS had no issued saying the sold over a million worldwide yet have been hush about their numbers now. Only thing we've gotten from them are zombie stats and 50million man hours. This coming from a company that ALWAYS touts their sales figures.
Sony has been more liberal because they are confident they are selling more.
Because literally zero people have bought any since then. Or because they don't feel the need to enter a dick measuring contest when a third party is going to release impartial numbers soon anyway about the size of both penises. This way there is only one news release for people to bicker/boast over, rather than two.
Keep up the good fight, your check from Major Nelson will be in the mail.
have you never, ever, ever been around for an NPD thread?
MS doesn't want to enter a dick measuring contest?
THAT is the most preponderous thing i've read in this thread.

At least I don't have to wear kneepads while bowing down to my Japanese overlords.
But they felt the need to enter it after the first week? So either they have had a major shift in organizational thinking in the two weeks since then or they aren't overly proud of the numbers and don't want to announce them. I won't speculate which it is since I know you hate that.Because literally zero people have bought any since then. So, I guess one more big NA shipment before Christmas? Seems like Sony is doing things (seemingly) in bulk, and MS is doing thinks steady. Curious to see if Sony will outsell MS for the month of December alone (in the US), since Sony is spready between nearly 40 regions before the end of the month. No one has been able to do what Sony is attempting, so major props to their brass balls.Lady at Best Buy said they'd have more on December 22, so look out for that day.
I hope you enjoyed your stay on NeoGAF. You won't be missed.At least I don't have to wear kneepads while bowing down to my Japanese overlords.

Funny you should say that, this popped up in the news feed the other day- http://i.imgur.com/L81Auap.jpgThreads like this make me want to go and hug my PS4
Sony didn't release their Black Friday numbers either. According to the logic in this thread they sold like shit then? I somehow doubt it.

Sony sold over 2.1mil PS4 worldwide between Nov 15th and Nov 29th
NA = 1.35mil
EUR= 500k
UK= 250k
MS had sold over 1mil worldwide between Nov 22nd to Nov 29th
UK = 150k
Everywhere else = 850k
These are the only official numbers we have so far if i'm not mistaken.
Did Sony send more shipments after the 15th in the U.S? I honestly don't know.
Actually, MS's figures were only for Nov 22nd through Nov 24. We don't have anything from them going through the 29th.
