okay so i thought custom wallpapers and external HDD was a big deal but then there's this sneaky fucking megaton. WHAT
Loading times improved? Thank God.
I'm playing that right now (I'm in Velen) and getting the reload screen means I get up and do something else for a while. It's ... real bad.
There's this one mission where I was trying to keep an incredibly fragile NPC alive () and every failure started at least two minutes of loading time.Bitter Harvest
Ouch, I'm playing on an SSD PC and that quest was annoying enough even with fast load times.Loading times improved? Thank God.

Holy shit!
Just one question, any downsides in putting it in boost mode?
I wish PS4 had fps counter. It's hard to tell at times if there's any performance improvement.
Doom felt REALLY smooth, but I'm not sure if it's 60fps magic or Pro Boost magic.
Driveclub felt the same, since that seems to be locked 30fps.
What other games have performance issues?
Holy shit!Rainbow 6: Siege: Terrorist hunt mode, v-sync off, hovers around 80-90FPS at all times, up from the 40-45 of the base PS4.
No,only effects those without itPresumably there is improved performance in PS4 Pro patched games too?
Final Fantasy XIV

Guess which is Boost mode.
None. They're already using the extra power.Presumably there is improved performance in PS4 Pro patched games too?
So Persona 5 will also benefit from this come April/May if Atlus is going to sit on their asses.

Do you have Hand of Fate and/or Ziggurat?Sorry, don't got it
Very noticeable improvement.
Doesn't P5 have Pro enhancements? If so, then the answer will be no.
The first video looked sub-30.It's not a 60fps video though?

Boing to check again when people start logging on tonight. This is Excalibur.
No, I assure you is real. It ONLY happens with Witches in root depth 5 chalices. I didn't modify shit, I know this because I did A LOT Of depth 5 root runs.
I don't really want to hoax anything. In fact I've been very critical on my Pro since I purchased it.
Someone tested it, looked quite smooth. The Evil Within is a big one.
It was released before the Pro. No Pro patch yet.
The first video looked sub-30.
So I can't tell from the video because all bloodborne footage looks fine, but is the game running at 29 fps with terrible frame pacing fixed with boost mode or not?
Yeah finding a random corner in a random dungeon where unoptimized encounters happen are the furthest limits Bloodborne can be pushed to. Improvements to regular gameplay may not be as obvious but it sure as hell is making a difference.
Quoted for beautiful posterity.
Hey guys, just got home from work, what's goin--- holy shit!
I need to buy a Pro now, don't I?
Any testing done on Destiny yet???
I made a quick AC:Unity comparison video:

You can download it for the best quality, I chose the Notre Dame zone that is very taxing in terms of frame rate. Playing it it feels much smoother.
I'm guessing this was probably not in a stable enough state to be available at launch.Fan-fucking-tastic.
Of course, there was no reason for this to not be there in the first place or at launch, but I'm still delighted to see they actually patched this in. Like many here, it's time for a new Bloodborne run!

KZ:Shadowfall in framerate unlocked mode.Honestly can't think of many more games to try that haven't been tried already.
Well, one game so far is found to completely crash when this is enabled.Fucking finally.
Lol at their "would break compatibility".
Has this done anything for games with a dynamic resolution or is it strictly a framerate thing?
Fucking finally.
Lol at their "would break compatibility".
Well reports are that Soma won't start, so I'd say they were right to be worried and make it optional.Fucking finally.

Which is what's happening on some games.Fucking finally.

omg so this is the game everyone shits on!
The art direction seems mindblowing!
Does it have a good story and combat ?
So after my dragon age test I think I can conclude it is a smooth 30fps,I didn't notice any drops.
