Riverdale |OT| Teen Peaks (or: Archie's Weirder Mysteries) - Thursday, 9/8c on The CW

Fantastical

Death Prophet
there is too many reddish brown hair people in this town. and like 9 of them were at the wake

Maybe they're pulling a Veronica Mars and (VM spoilers)
Cheryl and Archie are brother and sister. Actually now that I think about it... how the hell did that work? Why did they think they were brother and sister? Was Duncan the result of an affair outside of Veronica's mom?

Dammit. Now I can't remember why they thought that.

Edit:
looked it up..... Duncan thought that he and Veronica had the same father

Good episode. Madame Rose is a fun, strange character which this show needs for its weird er side. The Blossom parents are vile as hell. It's cool we saw some Reggie and Valerie screentime and development with Archie. Glad they didn't make Reggie out to be some permanent enemy of Archie and the writers are even taking the time to flesh out more of the Pussycats than just Josie. I didn't expect such a strong focus on Betty's dad as well but it was worth it for that final reveal. Looking forward to the next episode.

Here's hoping I can tear myself away from my Switch (I'm a time zone ahead) to watch tonight's new episode!

Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill!
Episode Promo
ROMANCES AND RIVALRIES - With Riverdale High's annual variety show around the corner, Valerie's (guest star Hayley Law) efforts to help Archie (KJ Apa) prepare for his big performance lead to some major fallout between her and Josie (Ashleigh Murray). Meanwhile, Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) investigation into Jason's death brings them to a home for troubled youth and face-to-face with Polly (guest star Tiera Skovbye). Just as her relationship with her mother was on the upswing, an unexpected betrayal sends Veronica (Camila Mendes) spiraling, while Josie deals with her own pressures at home after her overbearing father returns for her performance at the go-go dancing show. Finally, Hermoine's (Marisol Nichols) first day at Andrew's Construction finds her and Fred (Luke Perry) growing closer. Madchen Amick also stars. Steve Adelson directed the episode written by Tessa Leigh Williams & Nicholas Zwart (#106).

The original movie title or Riverdale's title? Because they both make sense in context.

all the episode titles this season are real movie titles. they're supposed to be chapters from Jughead's novel, and he's a movie buff.

Of course. But it is difficult to believe how amazingly awesome some old movie titles were. How do you make a movie with that title and how much movie trivia do you need to lookup to find a movie like Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill! to fit your episode.

to be fair if I was producing a show involving Josie and the Pussycats with movie titles as episodes, the first thing I'd do would be go on imdb and search for "pussycat" lol.

It's a pretty well known cult classic movie.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Hey, I want great tasting, zero calorie cake, too.

But if the size of your collection is a problem it's either buy a new house or rip those discs.

Was writing this in the Arrow OT where it came up but figured I might as well cut it and bring it up here... It's understandable given the target demo but Riverdale is already amped up the crazy on the shipper front. Cast members are already getting gross Tweets from shippers and the like including at least one instance that I at least saw of Lili Reinhart/Betty being told kill herself.

This IS the original shipping comic though.

My sister and I watched the first episode of this out of morbid curiosity. She used to love Archie comics.

Not our style of show at all lol, but it was kind of fun seeing some of the characters for what that's worth. The tone is completely different of course. The entire thing was extremely over the top (especially the cheerleader tryout scene, getting rejected by Josie, and Ms. Grundy in general WTF). I haven't seen shows like this before so maybe it's an acquired taste, but OH JEEZ.
We couldn't get through the whole episode.

the official accounts have been focusing a lot on that aspect (understandably. I mean, it's Archie), so it was only a matter of time I guess.

The world would be better if Twitter didn't exist.

Oh I know and it's expected but it certainly didn't take long for the toxic side of that fandom to rear their ugly heads.

The world would be better if Twitter didn't exist.

Twitter and Facebook for that matter.

Twitter and Facebook for that matter.
Fans always seem more civilized on Facebook, it invites more discussion due to length and you don't really matter more because you have more followers. This aside from all the friend stuff which twitter lacks.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Shippers are weird. Harassing people over fictional characters is just ridiculous.

I like that Veronica's creepy video was consistent about her pearl game.

90 minutes, Bulldogs!

EDIT: So unbelievably proud of all the Riverdale actors and writers for their Saturn Award's Best Action/Thriller TV Series nomination!!
