I'm having difficulty containing my excitement.
Someone hold me.
Someone hold me.
I think it would be something like this
Red Dead Redemption remaster - Spring 2017
RDR 3 - early 2018 (this includes the typical rockstar delay)
I could see this happening. Not doing a Red Dead Redemption Remaster would be leaving too much money on the table and it would also give the series a bit of exposure before the full sequel.
That said, there are a couple of reasons why they may not remaster it:
Also providing they do remaster RDR, I think they will leave out the online parts depending on how soon after we end up getting a full sequel.
- Given how popular GTA Online is and how much money they have made, it would be a reasonable assumption they are planning something similar for Red Dead 3. With that in mind, remastering RDR and its online features could cause part of the GTA Online community to shift to RDR online, when they will likely want players to move from GTA Online to RD3 Online.
- It may prove too expensive or time consuming porting the game due to the mess that the code is in.

So, realistically and looking at past examples (GTA5 in particular) should we expect some proper news in the next two weeks or so?

I expect something today actually. Roughly 1 hour from now to be precise.

More like in a next few days, you don't tease just like that and make people wait a couple of weeks.

Lol at Eurogamer thinking anything but Red Dead. Table Tennis? Get real.
Do you work for R*? You saying things as if they are fact.
I wonder how much the budget is and how many people it took to make?
I'm pretty sure they want this to be as big as GTA V was, wouldn't be surprised if it took more money and people compared to it.
The universe would explode.Just imagine if they just released it, no hype, no promo, just released it. Boom!
What are the chances of a PC release of Redemption, ON TOP of the 3rd game being announced?
Think I'll restart RDR today. I was doing all the side content but eventually stopped playing before finishing the story. I liked the manual shooting but on horseback it would frustrate me. It's the biggest reason I hoped for a PC release as I dreamed I'd get a mod that allowed for manual shooting on foot and auto-aim on horseback.
Still, loved the game. My favorite rockstar game for sure.
No to the idea of multiple protags please! Having multiple protags will kill any chances of having a lengthy and epic arc for one well made character. I don't want watered down options, I want one strong option. Aside from that, just announce a game, Rockstar.

Messed about with colours in Word (that's how I role in work) and found this:
Sad old dogs confirmed as played characters in RDR (pre)sequel.
My work here is done.
Datamined Rockstar's website and found this trailer and.. well, uhm about that supposed Red Dead teaser..
I would laugh and cry at the same time if this happened.
WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT?RED DOG REDEMPTION
What a kick to the balls (no pun intended) that would have been lol.
That's a kick in the nuts if it's real.

There wont be a RDR remaster guys.
Just bury that dream.
The game is not in a "remasterable" state.
