I just hope some people who actually want one get one and they dont all end up scalped like everything else lately
What latest games? What games on pc actually need a 4090 or a monster cpu. Maybe if you are streaming and playing on multiple monitor setup but other then that none of this is needed. With 12900k it's cpu limited. What is happening? What combo is needed for latest games.dlss 3 is a monster.
Who didn't see that coming? People bitch and moan but Nvidia GPUs will always sell out.Well that was sold out within a second... hope this isn't the 3xxx gen all over again![]()
I saw it coming, but had false hopes given the delay they would have built up more stock.Who didn't see that coming? People bitch and moan but Nvidia GPUs will always sell out.
Yeah. No pandemic related supply issues. No chip shortage. No bitcoin mining. This thing will be widely available in a few months.Stock will be fine but it was obviously going to sell out at launch.
this is a GPU that can do 4K 144fps or even higher depending on the game but due to using DP 1.4 it can only display 4K 120hz lol. That's if it's not bottlenecked by current CPUs. Most PSUs are either too weak or don't have the connector for it. And it's using PCIE 4.0 and we don't have PCIE 5.0 SSDs either.
they will simulate a stock shortage just watchYeah. No pandemic related supply issues. No chip shortage. No bitcoin mining. This thing will be widely available in a few months.
I evens saw pics of the mythical PS5s in stock at Walmart. 3090s have been available at my Microcenter since last year. They were just priced absurdly high at around $2,500 so they would just sit there until some miner picked them up.
Have the dirty poor GPUs gone up for sale yet? That's the stock I'm most curious about.I saw it coming, but had false hopes given the delay they would have built up more stock.
Not having EVGA in the game really hurts too.
you mean the 4080's? No not yet.Have the dirty poor GPUs gone up for sale yet? That's the stock I'm most curious about.
Scalping is a consequence of underpricing given the supply and demand. The current generation of Nvidia GPUs is really expensive so perhaps we'll see them being in stock in a couple of weeks (rather than in 1.5 years). Maybe they prices are too high and there will be an abundance of them, we'll see.I just hope some people who actually want one get one and they dont all end up scalped like everything else lately

Yep. Just wait a few months when all of these new Intel, Nvidia and AMD cards have been released, the whales have been satisfied and common sense has returned. There are currently far too many people who get overcome by FOMO and spend far too much money on stuff they don't really need, but the market will settle soon enough.
Any reviews on this card ? I wonder what are the temps on this since it's probably the only card that doesn't have a vapour chamberThe performance was never a doubt. Nvidia is a master class but that price is completely unreasonable.
The prices in the EU are insane. Hopefully I can get one at the BX or it'll wait for a trip to the States.

VAT tax my ass.
I hope GPU mining *stays* dead. All types of mining would be better of dead...I held out till March 2021 and cost myself a lot but still made $1600 when I cashed out. I am glad it is dead however.
Now all the sudden the 3090 / 3080 are popular again![]()
NVIDIA DLSS 3 "Frame Generation" Lock Reportedly Bypassed, RTX 2070 Gets Double The Frames In Cyberpunk 2077
NVIDIA recently introduced its new DLSS 3 technology that adds a new feature known as Frame Generation on supported GPUs.wccftech.com
Maybe in a few months, but they need to sell these GPUs during the holiday season and before their fiscal year deadline. Maybe after March if they are just sitting on shelves.they will simulate a stock shortage just watch
I am guessing you mean the 4070 masquerading as a 4080? Isnt that $899. Thats a $400 price increase over the $499 3070. I dont think that console is going to move too many units. The x70 series audience is never going to plung $700, let alone $900 plus tax for a GPU. I saw this for almost two years at microcenter where the 3070 would be in stock every single day and then the 3070 Ti for around $750-899 and no one bought it. They would just sit there during a supposed shortage.Have the dirty poor GPUs gone up for sale yet? That's the stock I'm most curious about.
I had one in the basket at 14:00:01 but couldn't checkout on Scan![]()

At some point this will come off in the market as pure greed by NVIDIA - which is why it's beneficial to wait at this point (IMHO). With RDNA3 cards on the horizon, and the (eventual) release of 4080(70) along with current available existing stock - unless there's a REAL reason to upgrade at this time other than "gotta have the mega FPS"...You saw that picture with that line of people, that is setting the price.
Nvidia seeing things like that probably wishing they would have charged a few hundred more.
To me the worst part of this pricing is that we have nothing to compare it to not having benchmarks of the real 4080 and the disguised 4070 and RDNA 3
Give it a few months..Well that was sold out within a second... hope this isn't the 3xxx gen all over again![]()
you mean the 4080's? No not yet.
To me anything below a XX90 an Ti is now considered a dirty poor GPU. In a tongue in cheek way. But yeah, I want to see how quick the 4080 and faux 4080 go. I'm holding onto my 2070 non-super until we get some performance benchmarks.I am guessing you mean the 4070 masquerading as a 4080? Isnt that $899. Thats a $400 price increase over the $499 3070. Same thing will happen to the $1,200 4080. Thats what the 2080 Ti went for. The people who buy the x80 cards for $700 arent going to spend an extra $500. The vast majority anyway. I didnt. I waited till it went down to $800, and there is no way Im buying that bs 12 GB card thats very clearly a 4070.
They will sell out initially but this is a huge miscalculation by Nvidia. Hope it blows up in their face.
Totals system power draw?Any written reviews have total system draw or just draw on the AIB models?
This is what we are gonna be saying every generational launch right?Seems like the RTX 4090 is the first real graphics card for 4k without compromises.
Yep, it's the reason I finally upgraded from a 1440p/160hz monitor to a 4K/160hz monitor. The 3080 was perfect for 1440/HFR, and the 4090 seems perfect for 4K/HFR.Seems like the RTX 4090 is the first real graphics card for 4k without compromises.
The 3090 was not at all a 4K/HFR card across the board. This is what we are gonna be saying every generational launch right?
The 3090 at launch was basically a 4K120 card giving a pretty damn sizeable boost over the 2080Ti.
Now we laugh at it at 4K resolutions.

In another two years when the 5000 series launches we will be saying the RTX 5090 is the first 4K card without compromises, the 4090 HAHAHA look at it.
Cant even maintain 4K60.

Now, why are there no reviews of the MSI Gaming Trio cards?!
By 4KHFR you mean above 80 - 90fps?The 3090 was not at all a 4K/HFR card across the board.
By 4KHFR you mean above 80 - 90fps?
Then at launch the 3090 pretty much was that.
There was a handful of titles that the 3090 couldnt 4KHFR.
Just like today there are a handful of titles that the 4090 cant 4KHFR.
Zotac never loses.

That depends on what you consider HFR.. I am personally an elitist so anything under 120FPS does not qualify.
Not really because I can get ultra settings above 120 frames 4K with dlss on at 4K.Thats fair.
And the 4090 without DLSS already doesnt qualify either.
Which is kinda my point.
Its the greatest graphics card we have ever seen....but the same is said for every flagship at launch.
Yes this is a sizeable gen on gen upgrade....for the xx90s, but lets not act like the 3090 at launch wasnt being praised as the same shit.
Weve been around the block long enough to know in two years we will all be saying the same thing.
Lets just enjoy these new cards without acting like Ampere was some sort of disaster launch.
Id highly recommend simply getting the LG OLEDs which are 4k 120fps with gsync over monitors. Very fast input lag and the picture quality in undoubtedly better than even the best monitors.Do we have a list of upcoming high refresh rate monitors?
1440p/360hz would be the ideal companion for this GPU if you play shooters, pretty sure you will be able to hit 360fps in warzone 2 with this.
I saw this one https://rog.asus.com/us/articles/gaming-monitors/rog-swift-360hz-pg27aqn/
lots of 240hz options

Display Stream Compression. It's visually lossless. My monitor is 4K/160 (LG 32GQ950-B). 160fps is glorious. Anything under 120 is just... so jerky to me.So it can do 4k/160hz over DP 1.4 .. i thought that was limited to 4k/120hz
