The disc drive is about as loud as on a PS4.

I've never heard my XSX, ever.
Sounds more or less like the SX when loading/installing a disc based game, otherwise it’s quiet, for me anyway. I’ve never had that issue with loading a digital game on the SX though, that is weird. Hopefully they fix it with an update on PS5.What's gotten better is that the disc no longer spins up at random every now and then (apparently - I didn't have a PS5 before this was fixed). It's still very loud WHEN it starts going. But that's really only a thing when installing a game and then when launching it, and then it's just for a few seconds. For whatever reason it does this even when I launch a digital title (like Astro), which sure is weird.
This.xsx owner. Absolutely silent.
