For those of you who don't know by the way, Saya no Uta is pornographic. The overall story may be interesting but uh..... if you buy it don't leave it laying around

You have to learn that sometimes people just want the best for you and when they do just let go and let them have their way with you, savagely, because it's for the best.

I... I was wrong. Stockholm has already set in. I was too late... Forgive me, Mac, I tried.

If this is a Jast heap, and the one behind Saya no Uta is what I think it is(but forgot the name of), then hooraay! If not, forget I ever posted this.

Mononoke 1

Such an intrigue this show is. From the stylized direction, to the absolutely incredible art, and deliberate pacing, it all comes together to from this package that really is brilliant. I can't believe I've waited as long as I have to watch this.

Does mr.apothecary ever get any backstory to him? Or is he nothing more than the vehicle.

I saw the list in the "English translated VN" topic. Saya no Uta excepted, how obscure are these games on the obscure-o-meter?
Obscure. Kikokugai is the only one I've ever heard anything about.

I thought you'd be more interested in Nitro+ Chiral's titles!

No info on release yet which I guess they are saving for their panel at AX.

It is JastUSA's releases and titles in order are Saya no Uta, Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer, Hanachirasu, Sumaga/Star Mine Girl, and Zoku Satsuriku no Django -Jigoku no Shoukinkubi-.

Yeah, that's it. Thanks. The super-future noir premise grabbed me when I read into it a good while back, but apparently not enough to make me remember the name, go figure.

I'm pretty sure the porn aspect of Saya no Uta is the least of your worries if you leave the game around for someone else to see lol.

They all have translations that can be bought off someone. Sumaga's patch isn't public, and Django is a surprise since there was never a public project for that.
I see, so it's just five titles that are presently convenient to release translated versions of in the western market. And I guess their audience is mostly people like you who are really really into visual novels and already knew about the games.

Saya is already bought.

Terrible. Fucking atrocious character designs. All hype completely deflated.

----------------------

So MC in Durarara went from being terrified of the city to hanging out in dark alleys with shady looking dudes in only four episodes? Now that's character development. Also, Celty is fucking adorable.

Saw the last two episodes of Ano Hana and, while I started laughing during 11 when the gang was there crying over how selfish they had all been, the ending actually got me.
I don't care what anyone says, Menma was the best thing about this anime, and she was so from the first episode for me.

The End of Evangelion

I don't know if I'm actually supposed to write something here.
I was doing pretty good up until the halfway point, and even for about ten or so minutes after that, and then I remember the events that made up the rest of the film but I think I'm still processing what happened. I'll get back to you in a day or two.
Still, it's not the biggest "what the fuck just happened" reaction I've had to something.

I did decide that TV episodes 25 and 26 should be voided canonically, at least -- or as much as you can do that given how messed up the Evangelion series is overall.

Now to decide how much buffer time to schedule before I watch Rebuild.

Give it a month or two, or you'll get LCL poisoning

Haha, Nichijou is megabomba. Blu-rays didn't even remotely chart anywhere on the anime blu-ray charts, and the DVDs sold something totally pathetic like 900 copies or something. See, it's not just internet apathy. It's true that NO ONE likes this show! :D

The one true reaction to this arc!

Once it a while there will some serious arcs but most of the time it's self contained from 1 to 2 episodes so it make it easy for people to jump in anytime. You can start from the beginning of gintama' 2011 which is episode 202.
Yep, just start with this new "season". And you'll get to jump in at what people seem to think is the best arc of the series.

Just no.

They did something, I think it came out a year ago but it was even less popular than Nichijou. Dunno if anyone even bothered to fansub it, can't really comment as to whether it was good or bad.

I'll allow you the first half of episode 25 and the last few minutes of episode 26, but that's as far as I'm willing to compromise.
This is all based solely on plot (or what exists of it), though -- thematically, they fit right in with the rest of the series.

I just prefer the abstract ending to the fairly literal one that we see in EoE. It's a rare case where running out of money forced them to be more creative than they would have been otherwise.

Even as someone who finds it rather enjoyable I couldn't imagine rewatching any of the episodes.

K-ON is much better than Nichijou.

It isn't like K-On is totally without merit but the way they kowtow to otaku with the show is sometimes a bit too aggressive for me ("There are no boys in K-On").

Also, I should probably clarify that it's not about seeing more of Nichijou, it's about seeing something new from KyoAni in general. It was an interesting change of pace for them and now they'll probably be running back to past successes. So if you're really jonesing for more Haruhi and K-On then this is awesome news, if not it kinda sucks.

I still think it sold more than Fractale, though.

Also, I dont see anything wrong with BLood-C's character designs or animation. It doesnt look particularly interesting to me, but the designs seem ok.

Haha, I never got around to playing Saya no Uta when everyone was playing it months ago, so I guess I'll just have to grab it when it gets officially released here~

I really enjoyed this, hopefully the start of an upswing for Ghibli movies. Great atmosphere and some beautiful artwork. Only problem I had was with the evil housekeeper, Ghibli movies really don't need a one dimensional villain like that. I know they wanted to show why the borrower's were so afraid of being seen and had to move, but she was just completely out of place in the movie. Would have worked far better with a natural disaster like a flood leading to the climax. Also could have used a few more little touches like the grasshoppers and the rolly polly, I think that's a sign of not having Miyazaki as the director, not quite as many of those magical moments. Definitely looking forward to their next work though.

TWGOK2

Great ending to the season. I'm still holding out hope that they'll find a way to continue, but if not...I'm satisfied with what we got. Couldn't ask for much of a better adaptation, Wakaki picked a great staff.

AnoHana

Went a little overboard with the crying toward the end there, but it was a solid ending. Still enjoyed the middle of the series the most, but I'm glad it didn't have a train wreck end like it could have.

Dog Days

Ended up being a decent kids show. Still wish it had been a strategy game instead of an anime though. Had a nice world built up, but no time to explore it. Some nice characters, but way too large of a cast. And a story that felt like part 1 of 10 in a RPG.

My thoughts exactly. Even if you don't like Nichijou, you have to admit it showcases the work of some talented animators. I'd like to see KyoAni branch even farther away from the type of show they've typically done, but now I'm worried they're going to resign themselves to milking their cash cows dry.

Sailormoon 30 something - 44

I repeat:

The sailor costumes are not a disguise

Sailormoon 45 - 46

Well colour me surprised, it was the typical ending I thought it'd be, but it was also an ending I didn't quite expect.

Now off onto Sailor R.

A sacrifice had to be made. Anything that forces KyoAni to realize the error in their ways, and that they should go back to FMP is for the greater good.

It is sad though. Nichijou has some amazing talent behind it. Hopefully they'll rebound.
