Hawkins was an anime only character in YGO, all of her appearances aren't canon... for people who care about that sort of thing lol.

What the heck was up with the detective just getting out of the situation without being handcuffed or anything. She's still a criminal, with aggravated assault and murderous intent, I think she might regress into her nuts personality at any time :I Also I totally guessed it was her as soon as she was introduced.
Seeing Kotoura's mom's eyes go back to normal was really nice, almost a tearjerker.

Was that Amy in the lab saying Papa? It looked EXACTLY like her, which raises some fucking questions for me. The whole experiments thing was super cool too. I thought that the Hideauze were gonna be human experiments gone wrong, but no way did I see them being evolved humans. That revelation had a little more impact because of that extra oomph. So this means that Ledo is part of what remains of the Continental Union while the Hideauze are the evolvers. So good. I was really hoping the past of humanity would be explored, and I was not disappointed. I just wonder now if the Earth Hideauze are evolved from symbiont or if they're mostly humans. Cause what's her face was still down there.
The preview for next week
looked good too. It has Ledo freaking out, Melty in the captain's room, Amy crying on her knees next to her BFF yelling, and Pinon pouring out something from a flask in a dejected manner. Is Ledo gonna die?

Now's a good time to mention that I am a huge fan of Sora Tokui. Have been ever since she played Nero, my favorite of the Holmes. (Though really, I love them all.) As far as Tokui brown girls go though, I like Robotics;Notes's Junna a little more, mostly because she got more screentime.

So the Hideauze were genetically modified humans? I didn't see that coming. I was expecting the humans to be the evil ones but it's really a war for space between humans. That scene when Chamber was killing the young whale squids made me sick, especially with the human-like insides. And then when Chamber killed the humanoid one...fuck.

Between Garden of Words and this I'm getting way more intimate foot time than expected. I can't think of any other footsmut in anime but regular smut and that one hairsmut show come to mind pretty easily. the similarity was way too identical... that I think it might be more than that for another twist. I mean, it's anime so they may not have realism of genetics in mind, but the looks would change over so many years and DNA intermingling.
I mean, Amy and her brother don't have any parents, and nobody on the fleet really talked about them (iirc). What if before their parents evolved they cryo froze their children or something, only to be found by Gargantia in the future?
