Why am I not thereForkball said:![]()
Mirror's Edge on Origin is pretty tempting. But it's kinda silly that the DLC is as much as the regular game.

Ouch, and it's still ridiculously overpriced.Corky said:So whats the word on Runaway : A road adventure? It looks great yet cheesy somehow, anyone played it?
The total price of all the costumes on pc is I believe 33% of the total original prices of all the separate mega packs on consoles.

Killer said:I don't if this the right place but i'll give it a shot. I hooked up my pc to the tv and the text is really small in games i can barely read it. I usually put the resolution on 1080 and it kinda help if i toned the resolution down to better read the text, but still i'm sacrificing the picture quality. If anyone could shed some light on this would be appreciated.

Voice acting is terrible (and sound quality too), the tone is completely conflicting, the puzzles do not make any sense, and the plot is terrible. Pendulo Studios' two latest games (Next Big Thing and the latest Runaway game) are supposed to be much better, from what I gather.
I'd say avoid it.
HiddenAway said:This is something I'd like to know more about too. I find it a pain to hook up my laptop to the TV as I have to fiddle with the Windows settings. It took me an hour to figure out what resolution I could use.
Then my sister tried after I failed to get her laptop hooked up to the correct resolution and she was done within a minute - just by going down by one resolution level. The screen fitted (though with unavoidable black bars around the edge) but most of my games worked (and Aquaria looked absolutely lovely)

Do you sit further back? Eye problems maybe?Killer said:Mine fits the screen just fine but i found it hard to read the text on most games.

MRORANGE said:it's not that bad value considering if you wanted to buy all the individual dlc packs it would cost 3 times more than to get the complete set, so the price seems very reasonable.

I can't think why it would be hard to read on a TV if you have it at the right resolution. I've had my PC on my TV for years, with various rigs and different resoslutions, and never had that problem.
Yeah, I pretty much gave up on Capcom's benevolence when the vaunted bonus for holding onto our old SF4 discs for SSF4 was just an extra pair of shaders.Corky said:I'd like to see them be free of charge, but the day capcom actually cared about the fan of their games is looooong gone.
Or you could buy a Namco fighting game and get 1 billion costume options included in the base game.MRORANGE said:it's not that bad value considering if you wanted to buy all the individual dlc packs it would cost 3 times more than to get the complete set, so the price seems very reasonable.

garath said:So I'll throw this out there. I'd like to get a game for my wife on my PC. Give her a little taste of PC gaming. She's really into her iTouch, playing all those Zombie Cafe and Trade Nations sort of games. She also liked Rune Factory on the Wii.
Anything jump to mind from Steam that might be a good fit?
Ledsen said:Sadly not on Steam anymore, but Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery in the US). Best trading/building/economy sim ever, my girlfriend adores it. She loves Harvest Moon and trading/building sims without combat, so their tastes seem to match.
garath said:Definitely sounds like their tastes run similar. Gamersgate has Dawn of Discovery so that might just be the ticket. Heck, the game looks interesting to me too.
I'm part of the closed beta and super biased because my brother is on the dev team but the game is pretty awesome, especially the maps.The_Player said:So, mates, what dou you think about Nucler Dawn? It looks pretty fun to me, so I consider to make a pre-order.

Is there a way to get them cheaper while at the same time can be integrated to Steam?
nexen said:Hmm... there is a bunch of stuff I want in the Origin sale that isn't on Steam.
Battlefield 2142 and NFS Pro-Street, actually.Relax.MX said:Dragon Age 2 and Crysis 2? really?
