I didn't expect any better tbh. Even if Nintendo went all out and put out like a 10/10 game every week from Sep-Dec, things still wouldn't pick up. They're done.Bit odd that Nintendo has pretty much all the good games to themselves this season but none of the hype. :/
Oh wow! I have a meeting in a few minutes but I can't stop laughing!
BitBlocks review isn't up yet but it seems like it wont be quite as glowing as these other reviews based on this comment.

Beat it in 8 hours, levels are quite short, multiplayer is kind of pointless.
I don't get the joke. Why is the gif funny?
SpielerEins, a GAF user, is the biggest 3D World gamewhining champ on GAF and predicted how shitty the game is going to be in every single 3D World related thread
To be fair a lot of people started munching on black flying creatures a while back. I was one of the people disappointed after the first reveal of the game...although I started my crow diet during the last couple of months when the amazing screenshots and videos first started appearing.
I'm not going to doubt EAD Tokyo 1 again lol
Ah...this one is purrfect.

Can't say anything until I play the game, but there's always someone nowadays who doesn't like a given "9+" game. He's entitled to his opinion, but it is really difficult to bifurcate between sites doing it just for clicks, and sites legitimately assessing the critical factors of games.

I was waiting for one of these!
The consensus is definitely higher than what I expected.
Replace "Nintendo Directs" with "games"

3D World's greatest strength lies in the boundless creativity on display. Each level offers a new challenge, a fresh surprise, an unexpected twist on the Mario formula, and there's vastly more content to the game than you'd think at first glance. I could enumerate at length the many ideas and inventions that characterize the game's stages, but the joy is in discovery. My advice: Experience it for yourself.

Yeah I play and like those games as well, I just hate how "gamey"-games constantly gets looked down upon because they do not "evoke mature emotions" or whatever bullshit the newest presentation-heavy movie-game does.

There can't of been too many games where reviewers simply have nothing to put in a negative points list. I guess despite all the moaning and grumbling about their lack of ambition/whatever, you just have to take a step back and genuinely admire the gaming experiences Nintendo have crafted and refined over nearly 30 Years. There's really no other creative institution like them.
Yeah. I'll certainly be keeping my eye on them from now on.
I am buying this the moment Gamestop opens on Friday. So much want.
Multiplayer "pointless"???
It's to have fun and ummmmmm.......beat your friends' scores.
The multiplayer looks leagues beyond NSMB just because of the scoring and the crown and that you can attack others.
So midnight!? (guessing they're gonna do a midnight opening for Xbone)
At the very least EAD Tokyo will always make a good-great game. For all the doubts I had about the game, i don't think i ever thought it would be bad.
Missing Jeremy Parish's review in the OP

Holy shit, a whole page dedicated to straight up lying and bs marketing to all people that actually wanted a game on the same level of ambition as SMG :lol
Good to see they noticed the feedback though. Now all that's needed are subpar sales like for the generic NSMBU and they might just go back making a Mario on par with the series' legacy next gen.
Also, seems like the rumoured new Miyamoto IP will be done at Tokyo, unless the translation isn't well done. Hopefully that's where their real efforts went.
C'mon now, everyone thought the game looked like crap the first time it was shown.
Well, here's his reaction to the Iwata Asks thread, lol:
