Pretty sure they don't, because there was a Blue Dragon NDS game.

Well, then I guess they don't own Viva Pinata either?

I pesonally liked the first act more but otherwise a fantastic performance.
This is the Zanarkand theme now right?
Man that is the saddest theme in the game if not series ;.;

For those wondering, you can be sure this will also get a CD release like Symphonic Fantasies. Nintendo is a bunch of assholes for not allowing the WDR to release the concert from last year.

Next years concert will be Symphonic Fantasies again btw (Dates: 5th and 6th of July 2012). There was a flyer at the end of my concert.

It was definitely worth the money for me, at any rate.

All of them are taken with the same instrumentation and orchestration that they are in-game, so far. No actual arrangements yet, heh.

The selection from "The Last Story" has a completely different arrangement and instrumentation than it had in the game. The original piece wasn't recorded with a full-blown orchestra.

If they do Mitsuda music for it, I hope they play some Xenogears music. I hate how all the Mitsuda music they ever play is Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross. The Xenogears soundtrack deserves some attention!

No, the orchestration, instrumentation, and arrangement are exactly the same as they appear in the game. Literally no new writing had to be done to bring it to orchestra. The main difference is that Uematsu used midi in his studio as opposed to live orchestra. As far as the composition went, nothing had to be changed to have an orchestra play it. What plays a piece doesn't matter if instrumentation doesn't change.

Also it is recorded with some live instruments.

Look up Toberu mono.

I'm listening to the OST right now. It's exactly the same. I will find you the second one later.

true, but the Chrono Medley from the first Symphonic Fantasies was the best part of that show.

The Chrono Trigger songs were good, but I've never been a fan of Cross' soundtrack.

Yeah that still is the best medley of any of these shows. The Kingdom Hearts medley has grown CONSIDERABLY on me over the last year though.

This is not "exactly the same".

Technology is pretty amazing, isn't it?

So I uploaded part 2 and part 3, although the quality is pretty horrid... Still, better than nothing, for anyone who missed it.

And some other guy (http://www.youtube.com/user/Weiblichesbrot2000) is uploading single songs, his quality seems better:

Agreed.

I also want to say that Uematsu seems to be one of the nicest persons on this planet. At least that was my impressions during the autographing session.

This disappointed me. There were some moments that sent shivers down my spine, but other than that nothing. I felt they changed too much for the worse.

Symphonic Fantasies have been the best one so far. Love the Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger/Cross suite.

No kidding. Even his Xenosaga Ep I soundtrack would be pretty splendid.

They also need Shimomura selections for next year.

It's less amazing when you know it's happening right next door and you're still watching it at home :(

Anyways, great ending. The battle themes are always the best parts from Uematsu.
Now, boots up xbox360, It's play time.

Does this mean it will be the same as the previous Symphonic Fantasies? Or are they just doing something similar again?

I don't know. All it said was the date, the name and it had the Symphonic Fantasies logo. I doubt they will do the exact same thing though. That would be a bit lazy.
