All of them are taken with the same instrumentation and orchestration that they are in-game, so far. No actual arrangements yet, heh.
Xater said:Next years concert will be Symphonic Fantasies again btw. There was a flyer at the end of my concert.
No, the orchestration, instrumentation, and arrangement are exactly the same as they appear in the game. Literally no new writing had to be done to bring it to orchestra. The main difference is that Uematsu used midi in his studio as opposed to live orchestra. As far as the composition went, nothing had to be changed to have an orchestra play it. What plays a piece doesn't matter if instrumentation doesn't change.thefro said:The selection from "The Last Story" has a completely different arrangement and instrumentation than it had in the game. The original piece wasn't recorded with a full-blown orchestra.
true, but the Chrono Medley from the first Symphonic Fantasies was the best part of that show.B.K. said:If they do Mitsuda music for it, I hope they play some Xenogears music. I hate how all the Mitsuda music they ever play is Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross. The Xenogears soundtrack deserves some attention!
They'll only tease it.Wario64 said:They're gonna do One Winged Angel? Right? lol
I thought that too, but DQ does it all on its own-MB- said:They need to do one for the dragon quest series.

Also it is recorded with some live instruments.

Thanks, I'm listening to A Fleeting Dream again.Datrio said:So I uploaded part 2 and part 3, although the quality is pretty horrid... Still, better than nothing, for anyone who missed it.

It's less amazing when you know it's happening right next door and you're still watching it at homeB-Dex said:It's crazy to think this is happening live half way across the globe and I'm watching it in my house.
Xater said:For those wondering, you can be sure this will also get a CD release like Symphonic Fantasies. Nintendo is a bunch of assholes for not allowing the WDR to release the concert from last year.
Next years concert will be Symphonic Fantasies again btw (Dates: 5th and 6th of July 2012). There was a flyer at the end of my concert.
Phatcorns said:Does this mean it will be the same as the previous Symphonic Fantasies? Or are they just doing something similar again?
