to be fair, I never attended the original thread as, though I am a fighter fan and a huge fan of both companies, japanese arcade games hold zero interest for me being they NEVER come to my city. this is 10000000000 times more interesting to me (as would any home console version have been except for 360, due to region locks not easily broken)Threi said:*DISCLAIMER*

To be even more fair, that excuse is kind of lame. The assumption is usually a fighting game, especially from a big company like Capcom, will eventually end up on consoles. This assumption is almost always correct with very few exceptions. If you really cared about the game or were truly a fighting fan you would have been in the main thread speculating which console it would inevitably appear on with everyone else.borghe said:to be fair, I never attended the original thread as, though I am a fighter fan and a huge fan of both companies, japanese arcade games hold zero interest for me being they NEVER come to my city. this is 10000000000 times more interesting to me (as would any home console version have been except for 360, due to region locks not easily broken)
american consoles? really? should we count the number of capcom fighting games that have never made it to the US, and to top that off capcom fighting games that have never made it to the US on consoles that are a pain in the ass to mod for import?Dali said:To be even more fair, that excuse is kind of lame. So I guess people cant just view the thread without posting. I have been watching the crazy vids of this and havent posted once, but Im not posting in a thread just to speculate which console it will go to, I hate that shit.Dali said:To be even more fair, that excuse is kind of lame. High and mighty? Chill dude. First of all you never specified American consoles. Second of all no matter what you say I don't count you as a fighting game fan if you didn't show interest in Capcom's first "VS" game since MvC2 until it was announced on Wii.borghe said:american consoles? really? should we count the number of capcom fighting games that have never made it to the US, and to top that off capcom fighting games that have never made it to the US on consoles that are a pain in the ass to mod for import?
sorry, but the high and mighty act won't work on me. I don't give a shit about arcade games in japan because I will never get to play them over here, and simply can't give a shit on JPN-exclusive fighting games for any systems other than the XBox (softmod), GCN (freeloader), or PS3 (region free). And having not known hardly anything about the game (such as being developed on Wii hardware) there would be little reason to expect this game to hit a console that is actually import friendly knowing capcom. Since now reading this thread I have found out (hence my question earlier) that I CAN play this with a wii softmod.
sorry, but I'm just not so obsessive that I hunt down news about every title in every genre I enjoy even if said title has virtually no chance of ever being played by me. the fact that's not the case with this one is now a pleasant surprise.
obsessive fan? no, definitely not. but I have certainly enjoyed my fair share of fighting time over a nice collection of titles and have been looking to step things up with a custom sstick before SFIV arrives (which of course will do me no good with thisDali said:Second of all no matter what you say I don't count you as a fighting game fan if you didn't show interest in Capcom's first "VS" game since MvC2 until it was announced on Wii.

Dread Fox said:The arcade board this game runs off of is quite beefy. I don't see how the Wii could runt he game and if it did it would take some significant downgrading. Isn't that just extra development cost for Capcom? I mean it would run like butter on the PS3/360 and the porting would be relatively simple.

Hacking and Homebrew scares the shit out of me. Still haven't put custom firmware on my PSP and I haven't Jailbroken my iPhone either. I'm always scared I'm going to brick it or royally screw something up.Threi said:d00d gecko-os d00d

So if I install the homebrew channel to do this, there is nothing Nintendo can do about it? No future firmware, games, or anything that will limit anything I can do on the Wii?Threi said:The absolute worst-case scenario is that an error occurs and the wii just restarts.
That's too bad about MvC2 on 360.permutated said:I have MVC2 for Dreamcast...controller is way better.
I also heard the emulation of MVC2 on the 360 is nearly unplayable.
Thanks for the correction.No6 said:MvC2 was released after CvSNK2?
And since when did being a fan (especially fighting games seeing as how most do get American releases) require being an importer? Last I checked that group is what's known as "obsessive".
Here're two better words: not mandatory. This would only use friend codes if Capcom wants it to.LiK said:let's not kid ourselves. two words: friend codes ;_;
