The videocard that captured is my guess. The graphics are a bit off.

Lyte Edge said:I think it's just you guys in Europe. :lol SNK USA was trying to make a comeback in the States for a little while there. That Ben Herman guy had a bit of a presence.
I don't quite remember what got removed (I was in Japan for the years those PS2 games came out), but I believe in some games ending content was taken out, and like I said, they removed progressive scan for whatever stupid reason.
MyGamer: Lets talk about the most important issue first will we see another netcode patch for The King of Fighters XII, or is the games netcode just done at this point?
Shane Bettenhausen: Well, first we had the day one patch and since then, weve been monitoring the games' performance. We've been looking over all the comments on our Facebook and our forums have been passing them along to SNK-Playmore. We do think that further enhancements to the netcode are required. Weve given them a very exhaustive list of not just latency issues, but bugs and other considerations. Everything the fans are asking for, we are passing along. As for when a patch could happen, we cant say. Discussions are ongoing, literally, right now. One of the problems is the differences between the American and Japanese netcode situation.
MG: On both the Facebook page and in general, there has been a lot of talk about downloadable characters. No other actual serious fighting game has tried to do it. The only games that come to mind for me are UFC 2009 which had Gamestop-exclusive characters, and the Naruto video games on the Xbox 360. But thats it. If it does end up happening, how would it go down? Would we have to pay for it?
SB: Well, those discussions are still ongoing. There were plans in place for downloadable content, and what we had planned was not characters, but more bonus material and different kinds of things. But based on the user feedback, SNK-Playmore is opening up a bit to other kinds of downloadable content. In terms of pricing, thats still to be determined, but considering the glitches and lag problems, if they were to add something substantial, be it a stage or a character, there is a good possibility that it could be offered for free. I cant confirm that yet because we are still in talks, but from my perspective I would like to give something back to the community for their patience. Again, its an ongoing discussion, but what the fans want is what we want. But once again, it's still ongoing. I think in the future, though, its a new frontier and we will be seeing paid downloadable content like stages and characters in a lot of fighting games. I think its exciting that fighters are back, but I think the Japanese companies in general like negotiating with online play in America, and were all kind of along for the ride.
MG: For Ignition, how has it been working with SNK? Especially with the netcode, theyve been totally hit or miss, with poorly-done ports of King of Fighters 98 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves, a pretty good Fatal Fury Special and a really good King of Fighters Neowave back on the original Xbox. Is SNK really capable of making a good online experience?
SB: I think overall, the experience of working with SNK has been really cool and interesting. I am an old school fan of SNK and even though they arent quite the same company who made the Neo-Geo, they still keep the spirit alive. They really do believe in King of Fighters and they poured their hearts into this. Ive only been on board with Ignition for six months, and the game was already in the making for a really long time. I really wish that somebody early on wouldve said hey, lets use this GGPO. Blazblue is really the first major release to use that netcode and it is so strong. Its the strongest netcode anyone has ever seen for a fighting game. But hindsight is twenty-twenty, and we probably wouldnt have had the same lag issues if they had went with that. It was really their decision and, moving forward, I think we can advise them that hey, maybe you should use this GGPO thing. I think, as I said, Japanese developers tend to think of the Japanese arcade market and Japanese internet connections and its a bit of give-and-take to make them understand the situation in America. Luckily, theyve been willing to listen and together, were collaborating with them on solutions. I think moving forward and being able to be involved earlier and earlier is going to be able to help everyone.

Yesterday one of the reasons for my intitial dissapointment was the lack of ranged normals and command moves. Somehow I didn't remember that info at that time. Everything is so close range, but the thing is it's not fair for all. Ash has the shortest rage HP and HK in kof history. It looks like a joke move. He has f+HP and hop kick and that's about it. Most chara were skinned naked on normals but take Kyo. - Kyo has basicly everything he ever had as a classic versions. Everything. Commands, normals. It looks so unfair. :lol
Btw. i only played for a day so it's mere glance but I'm getting worried about ballance of the game. I mean Kyo has no weaknesses at least I can't find any. He just destroys.
It's funny everyone got so tonned down but it's like they took Kyo out of Kof 95 where everyone was a monster. I played lot's of Kyo in KOF 95 and here he feels almost exactly like that in terms of power. :lol
For people more experienced: How is the matchup Kyo versus Ash? It should be no contest, right?
GrayFoxPL said:Maybe for Americans Argentina sounds like it should be in Europe.![]()
Europe is not a gaming wasteland.Anymore.
Fortinbras said:Is online dead already? Granted, I live in Europe but it seems like five Europeans bought the game and I'm one of them.
KoF12 has the worst netcode of any retail fighting game I can remember btw.
Augemitbutter said:ignition has been bringing SNK stuff to the EU for quite a few years now. like battle coliseum, one year+ before the US version, or KOF XI, months before the US version hit. and yes, they removed progressive scan and online for XI, not sure about BC.
Lyte Edge said:IIRC it was XI that had its endings removed. I can't remember if it was NGBC or XI, but Euro players on Neo-Geo.com were crying foul over something being removed. Didn't Europe also get KOF '94 ReBout?
CcrooK said:So with the talks of GGPO in possible future games, how well does GGPO adapt to a 3D fighter? If at all? There being of course no 3D fighters that go through GGPO.
GrayFoxPL said:Doesn't GGPO has something to do with animation framecounts? Anyway I'm bablin'. I'm interested in this too.
Was this posted?
King of Fighters XII would like to thank everyone for their patience! SNK is currently undergoing testing and will issue an announcement regarding online play this week.
From Kof facebook.
Maybe they'll patch it really quick. Would be unusual.

arstal said:I don't think Kyo has a big advantage. Ash is faster, his projectiles are much better, he can keep out Kyo. Air to Air Ash is better also.
That said, Kyo and Iori are considered the S tier of the game, but no one really whines about tiering in this. The balance is MUCH better then SF4. One thing that helps is the universal options- the downside is the cast becomes a bit homogenized.
If you want long range normals, play Duo Lon. He is the Dhalsim of this cast.
One issue with online on 360 is the split between Arcade, Ranked, and Player. Generally the stronger players play Arcade or Ranked, and are in 2 person rooms. Lobbies= scrubs in general, as good players get frustrated by the spectator lag (which is severe) and leave quickly.
I've seen good matches (they do exist) go to hell all from a yellow bar spectator.
CcrooK said:I honestly have no idea how GGPO works. But you're probably right about the whole animation aspect of it all where as it works very well with a 2D fighter. I guess 3D fighters are relied on their own developer. Hopefully Namco's stepped up from Soul Calibur 4 in regards to their netcode. They got a lot riding on T6.
And that talk of an update this week is news to me. Curious to see what they'll say.
Fortinbras said:Actually I wasn't joking. I got into 3 games and that's about it. Most of the time there's no room available. Quick or custom matches...no difference at all.
When I create a room, nobody joins.
Never played GG on Xbox.

I didn't mean really long range normals like DuoLon's but you know when far HK was different then close HK. I still think this is the only thing that actually bugs me.
You're right about DuoLon - he's like Dalshim now. Funny, because our very own gaf top SFIV Dalshim player wanted to play DouLon and I told him they don't play the same way(thinking about old version). Now I must take that back. :lol I don't play Dalshim but thanks to speed difference I like DuoLon.
