The Sterling Grounds |OT| It's a Slaughter

Jim sure loves low-hanging fruit, gives him plenty of attention every time.

There's a billion games out, why else would you put time into something that makes clear within 5min that's not worth it?

Plenty of attention? His youtube channel isn't that big. I wonder if his channel even generates enough revenue to refund the cost of buying all this garbage.

@Krabboss :
You should watch some other YouTubers that makes easily 2M views in two weeks just by playing bad video games of the 8/16 bits era (like "Joueur du Grenier", an awesome french AVGN-like).

Jim Sterling will make... what, 75k views ? How many views TB did with the "Garry's Incident" incident (no pun intented) ?

I sort of want this game. Doesn't seem that bad, come on Sterling son.
There's no feedback of any kind when you get hit so I'd say it's automatically a bad game. And that's not even getting into stuff like the only effects of death being randomly teleported to somewhere else with +100 health.

So, a new development.

As of tonight, the original video on The Slaughtering Grounds has been removed from YouTube following a copyright takedown strike on behalf of the game's publisher (that's one of the full-on, legal, serious ones, not the ContentID shit). A predictable final outburst from one of the most stunning tantrums I've seen a developer unleash.

Naturally, a counter-notification has been filed.

Are you sure those ethical threats you spoke about recently aren't from this guy? Because he seems a tad bit crazy.

Hope you get this sorted. Shit like this is just pathetic.

you could probably get the guy on defamation of character with the way he's been acting. it's all rather silly

You know I am just impressed that 9 year old children could even code a video game.

You need to explain the Streisand effect at the end of particularly seething videos to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

And I don't think it's fair to call this joker a developer; it's an insult to people that can actually do it. There are absolutely amazing games out there made by one or two people, who somehow manage to behave professionally for the majority of their careers. They may even make a dud or two.. but they survive it without any sort of nuclear response.

Anyways, good luck & keep up the good work.
Thank God for you.
