How spoilerific is the MP game? It'll reveal all the locations in the game? :P

Someone answer this man before I start matchmaking. Looking for levels specifically of what would probably be the last level of the game, like
the aztec ruins type level
was in Uncharted 2.

Nothing like that from what I can tell.

Team Objective is still as fun as I remember. Favorite mode by far. Discourages camping, and uses the entire map so stuff like the infamous camp room in Chateau isn't even an issue. I thought I'd be living in the Hardcore playlist, but Objective is too much fun.

I'm getting my ass kicked pretty good in U3. Been playing Assassin's Creed Revelations beta, and Brotherhood multiplayer, so I am stuck on those controls. I keep pressing R1 and X to run up walls.

I never got in on U2 multiplayer until earlier this year, and by then it was nothing but vets, so I destroyed. Hopefully getting in at the beginning here will help build some skill.

There was some insane autoaim on the ak-47 in the final days of the beta. I wonder what you guys mean by harder. Harder to aim? Is there more health? Eh? Haven't played the demo or whatever yet though. Have the visuals been improved in the beta maps?
Airstrip looks so much better. I never liked it as much as Chateau because it was so drab-looking by comparison. Now it looks even better—much better lighting, brighter, the colors pop more.

Harder as in it's faster, which I think, if I remember correctly, you'll love. And there is more recoil, and the health regeneration is too fast.

What's the camp room in Chateau? You're not talking about the roof glitch, are you?

Awful experience thus far. The beta for me wasn't nearly as shitty.

9/10 games for me is either Chateau or Airstrip. Seriously people? Honestly?

Host is over powered to fuck in this game. Bullet detection is complete garbage. Spawns are atrocious.

Thank God I play UC for SP, because this is awful.

Talking about the room by the zipline I'm guessing.

Whatever man, I'm having a blast. When I see people complain about detection and host-advantage and I'm not seeing those issues, I wonder if people need to have their own connections checked. Or their heads.

Faster, huh. Man I had gotten used to the speed in the beta... :P I don't really like the idea of more recoil. The weapons in the beta without mods already too much recoil for my tastes in an Uncharted game.

How many maps are available btw?

9 so far.

Open NAT, open ports, 16 mbs down, 2 mbs up. The only other games this generation that have given this game a run for its money on poor hit detection and host advantage is Gears of War 2, and Black Ops at launch falls behind them for the hit detection issues.

You're not experiencing it? Fantastic. I am, and it's not in my head. I'm going positive most games, so it isn't about that either. It's 100% a guy in point blank range, not moving being drilled by my AK which isn't missing and only 1 out of 3-5 bullets actually being recognized by the game as hitting.

I also take back what I said about melee as I've been pimp slapped from 10+ feet out. :/

Yea I think the recoil is a bit over the top and I'm lagging my ass off ,it's been a terrible experience for me so far and the higher ranked players have so much advantage, I guess i'll stick to hardcore and even then they have better guns.
Hit detection is a miss too or maybe i'm just lagging...

The bullet collision issue happened with me, too. Luckily I was able to benefit from it. Dude was pumping bullets into me, and even melee attacked me and I didn't die. Was able to gingerly put him down with a few shots.
When he died, I could hear him on the mic "What the fuck!? I shot and melee'd him!"

GGs to my fellow GAFers tonight. Uncharted 3 is so good. Seems like the guns have more recoil now. Makes it harder to shoot while strafing side to side, with the GMAL at least. Only tried that gun out and the para9. Picked up the micro during a match seems to be un-nerfed. In fact a lot of things are back now. The powerplays like, Double Damage(ugh), and cursed are back to. Maybe their trying to re-balance for retail?

New maps are awesome, I love Desert Village. The sand storm that blows in after a while is great. Reminds me of the Gears 3 map trenchs. Still don't like the opening stages in TDM. I just wanna play the map already.

Uncharted MP is back baby! :D

Is there a reason why my loadout defaults to the first one in every game? I have to play round 1 with the first loadout.
In your profile there is an option to "set default" for whichever loadout you want.

What happened to my Uncharted 3!? The beta was pretty great why did they go and make the long guns all terrible?

Melee is so powerful now too. First match I had with the game was nothing but melee attacks and uzi kills.

Cursed is back? lol.

Ahh 75%. I guess I'll start playing this at 4am instead of going to sleep...

I guess between the end of beta to now, there was a secret Uncharted 3 MP Boot camp that trained hardcore pro's. Cause everyone is just kicking my ass... I miss the good ol' days.

No one playing on Hardcore. Sad times. I had to lower myself into playing with the plebes in TDM.

Gears has definitely spoiled me for online TPSs. Everything here feels so...rough. Oh well, I'll probably visit the Uncharted online component every so often. Good show, Naughty Dog.

Lol you GAF team are too overpowered.

The hit detection seems worse here than during the beta, maybe my internet was just extra shitty tonight. Only played a handful of matches so far, of which I either did pretty well or got shit on, but I'm enjoying it for the most part.

I'm terrible at the game now, but I'm still having a blast. After playing this, its definitely hard to get back to Gears 3. The amount of traversal and verticality in these maps really set Uncharted apart from the other shooters!

Some of these new maps look truly insane. The amount of texture details paired with an excellent art direction make all the other console games look pale in comparison. And to top it all off, the framerate is surprisingly solid, and I have not encountered any slowdowns whatsoever. If the MP look this good, I can't even imagine how good the SP will look.

I'm having mixed feelings so far. Aiming still feels off and sluggish. Upping my sensitivity won't help the slightest, my crosshair still takes forever to move any general direction. I do love the distinct feeling of every weapon though. IMO aiming felt perfect in U2, I felt so free moving my crosshair up and down or left and right but in U3 I feel like I have to drag it all the way up to where I want it. Anyone else feel this way?

EDIT: Also, it didn't feel like this in the past beta but so far every encounter with an enemy feels like a close quarter battle up to the point that both starting weapons suck.

Combat is nowhere near as good as it was in the Beta. Feels like everything got nerfed

the game is definitely worse now than it was in the beta and it's not the recoil. Hit detection is shit now and I use to say the beta had the best ever .

The game feels so much faster than the beta or U2 for that matter, guns are a tad inaccurate, should really tighten the accuracy more and MAYBE up the damage just a tad.

quick 2 game impressions, cause i'm tired as fuck and my newly revived ps3 literally sounds like its about to take off.

Recoil seems the same as the beta, I don't know what you people are on about. Para-9 is an unwieldy POS as before, GMAL is beastly and AK47 is meh. Health appears to be the same as the beta, the same amount of bullets kill you. Overall speed and responsiveness seems to have increased, sprint speed has been ridiculously increased. You have stupid speed and mobility when you activate it.

Overall, not that different from the beta.

Played about 4 rounds. I don't really like the Syria map at all. Seems like it spawns you in the middle of a firefight all the time.

London Subway is great map.
The Airplane map is great.
I can't remember the other maps I played.

I remember kind of like a horde mode from the Beta. What part is that in co-op? Is it a rotating one like in UC2?

Host advantage seems to be pretty nuts. Other than that, I had some fun although I don't feel like the map design is quite up to snuff with Uncharted 2.

Exactly. Jumped in and only noticed the speed different, and easier sprint. Melee and blindfire was way more common in the beta due to the rapid fire micro. Overall it's the same game just a little faster.

Mhm. Micro really messed shit up.

Anyway, it annoys me that I can't access the options menu in the middle of a game. :|

Is there no way to pick which loadout you start a match with? And I don't like that they put the score down in the bottom corner, I liked it at the top and would like an option to put it back there.

In the loadout menu there's a default option

No way man hit detection is shit in the game, it's definitely not the same, maybe it's because they sped it up but if I'm shooting a guy in the face he should die, this isn't Black Ops

Headshots aren't instakills. Easiest way to get kills in UC3 at the beginning is to pick the GMAL and be sure to put two full bursts into the torso.

Hit detection is the same as before, meaning it's really forgiving actually, and adjusts to your particular amount of lag to the detriment of whoever it is you're killing.

Played 4 matches. Did poorly in every one and I'm level 5 already :p
funny how i saw level 25+s already. I know you level up fast but that's still insane.

This game looks amazing, definite image quality boost from the beta. It is worth nothing that the music is great!

Loving it so far, haven't played it enough to comment on the differences between it and the beta. New weapons and maps.... ahh must go to sleep.

it saddens me a bit to see so much complaining, i dont think this game was meant to be ultra competitive MLG type of game, its a summer popcorn multi and I think it delivers that in spades.

I like that they changed it so you can climb into the zipline room from the outside in Chateau.
I think that taking a photo still isn't back in cinema mode but there's video export now which is great.

Where? In the beta you could just press a button and the highlighted loadout would be the one you start with.

Played a few hours of Team Objective, my thoughts:

-Kills seems harder to get in general. Can't pinpoint exactly why.
-G-MAL seems worse. I would two shot people all day in the beta, now it seems like 4 shots isn't even enough. Did the accuracy mod really make that much of a difference? I don't have it yet in retail.
-Team Objective is a clusterfuck most of the time. Maps are extremely complicated (not bad in of itself) and allow for wildly unpredictable player movement, making it frustrating to try and create a strategy for ever-changing objectives. Lucky positioning was too prevalent.
-Most of my deaths are to grenades. Not sure if it's because of me, or if they're a little too good.
-How about a positive? Graphics are gorgeous, animation is superb, and the performance is flawless.
-Another negative: Sound isn't amazing. Can't hear footsteps for shit. I like games that allow me to use sound to gain tactical awareness. Eh.
-London Underground pre-TDM phase is boring as fuck. Fun map otherwise.
-Maps are pretty good all around. Team Objective just complicates them too much imo. TDM and Plunder should be fine.

I'll play more tomorrow. Really interested to see how the G-MAL accuracy mod changes things.

I can't wait for the ridiculous complaints every time there's a small update.

"they changed the recoil? this game is unplayable now"
"this game is just garbage now with the crazy AK47 blindfire"

The way the game is now is all in the favor of rushers, those with the uzis and attack you by groups of 3 and then melee you. Since everybody moves so much faster you can't stand and aim precisely since now they can actually roll out of half a clip of your long guns.

And honestly there is no way hit detection is the same, either it was me lagging or maybe I just suck at the game since when I actually shoot people, half my clip goes through them and I get maybe 2 or 3 hit markers and they still live to run around a corner and melee me in the back.

I personally don't really care for the increase in movement speed over the beta. I felt the beta WAS sort of sluggish at first, but once I had adjusted I thought the speed was perfect. Now I feel like it's too fast, but maybe I'll just have to adjust again. I also feel like the aim assist was definitely toned down compared to the beta, but I'm not totally sure. After a few games, I'm still enjoying it, but not as much as I was at the end of the beta. Definitely will play a lot more in the coming days though and this is by no means a final opinion.

Just played a round on the new desert level. Goddamn this game looks absolutely mindblowing; might be a placebo effect, but I believe the IQ has been much improved from the last beta. Very impressive image quality for sure. The texture work is pretty damn impleccable too.

The new running speed might take some time to get used to; overall, the game feels faster than it did before. Also, I sucked during my first round, compared to the ownage I dished out in the previous beta. :P
