I was thinking GTA meets Sunset Overdrive.

Probably more GTA in that it tried to take itself seriously but had these doofy elements throughout whereas SO reveled in its insanity.

I get that they want to get away from the grim dark stuff, but that's what drew me to the original.

I dunno.. I'll probably end up renting it.
