What Fall TV shows will you be watching? - 2015 Edition -

Speaking of Amazon, The Man in The High Castle, when? PKD sure could come up with a title, so regal and intriguing, yet invokes the feeling of a pawn in a rich man's sex game.

Kind of a weak crop of new shows for me this Fall. PBS non-fiction stuff is pretty strong. Also Ken Burns The Civil War has been remastered and will be shown starting September 7.

YES!

The 27th can't come soon enough.

I want to make the OT for it, but it would probably be a mediocre OT. :p

Note that September 27 is the Swedish & Danish première (Norway also confirmed for September this year); rest of the world is likely 2016.

I can help you with the OT if you feel like it.

edit:
Would add (unsure on when it'll air, if at all in 2015)

Follow The Money (from DR, Danish channel behind 1864 and The Killing) (BBC FOUR)

I checked an it's tentatively slated for February 2016. Not sure if it is an actual estimate for the Danish première or just some intern picking the month she/he was born for giggles.

Ah right, hadn't heard much about it so wouldn't have thought it'd come in 2015.

Re: The Bridge

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2015/bbc-four-edinburgh

BBC Four brings viewers an autumn of gripping Scandinavian drama with the return of the hugely popular The Bridge (the final episode of the last series was enjoyed by over 1.5m viewers) and Arne Dahl, as well as the launch of new crime thriller Beck.

And an OT would be super, i'd be sure to post!

You don't hear much about most of the Nordic series until it's about to drop, they're kind of shit at marketing or even updating their own websites with accurate info about their own shows.

Yeah, but there's quite a lot of Beck and Arne Dahl (even though it has been suggested that series 2>1) to suffer, and I do mean suffer, through before then. The official facebook page for The Bridge suggested 2016, but like I said they're shit at accurate info.

Thanks for the handy list. There are quite a few new shows I want to watch from it, some of which I had never heard of prior to visiting this thread. I actually watched the pilot of Grandfathered on a flight a couple of weeks ago. It just started playing on the free channel and I thought it was decent. I find Paget Brewster attractive, so that's my hook to it.

For anyone wondering, Studio Mir (the guys who did most of Korra) is doing the animation for the Guardians show (not just the shorts). They're mentioned as the main animation studio in the first episode.

Just saw the start dates for continuing game shows.

I'm gonna watch The Bastard Executioner but that's the only one today. Gotta catch up on Gotham and Constantine before the premiere of Gotham S2 and Arrow S4 anyway. I'll give The Bastard Executioner a go today, and another chance next week if it doesn't catch me this time. I have never seen Sons of Anarchy, so I don't know what to expect.

Reviews:

Entertainment Weekly said:
A lot of [Moonbeam City] is funny, for sure, but probably not funny enough to justify what's essentially a second Archer.

Variety said:
Ultimately, though, the series can’t maintain the initial burst of energy that its design and ‘80s-inspired opening titles convey, and settles for being puerile as opposed to consistently clever.

New York Times said:
The show is a more-forced-than-usual exercise in pop-cultural satire, featuring character names reminiscent of “My Little Pony” (Dazzle, Pizazz, Chrysalis, Rad) and dialogue that tries so hard you can see it sweat.
