Xbox Live Arcade - Announcements and News 2011 Edition

Mind......Blown.

When was all of this announced???!?!?

XBLA may just be my main platform for 2011.

Necrophilia and and Clash of Heroes are just about a for sure thing.

ITSP is in if it plays as fun as it looks.

Spelunky looks nice but I don't know a damn thing about Mossmouth....that's a wait and see.

Great Post!

I think there is some tongue in cheek dungeon crawler coming this year... I forget the name though...

That would be Magicka, which I believe has been cancelled for the service and is PC only at this point.

Bastion and Dust look great, can't wait to try them out.

OMG @ Beyond Good & Evil. Will buy and play through again!

Man, I'm excited to buy Radiant Silvergun after spending about $200 American to get a Japanese Saturn and the game. :/ But it should be fun. :)

Lots of great stuff on the horizon.

(PS. Develeoper is not a word.)

Aaahhh! WTF??? They even had a trailer that said Q1 2011 and even had a price of 800 MSP too.

I never buy XBLA games until they go on sale, but I would have made an exception here.

Would have bought Torchlight day 1 as well, but that may be canceled too.

Uh, the 2 games I was most looking forward to. I must have done something to piss off the gaming gods.

They were still talking about XBLA when they demoed the game to me back in August.

XBLA really is the greatest thing happen to video game this generation.

I thought 2010 had a pretty weak lineup but 2011 looks INSANE.

Who did? Link please. (not trying to be smart BTW, this came up in my own XBLA thread on another forum today and I'd like to find a definitive answer, the original press release didn't say XBLA you see: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2010/sep10/09-15fivegamespr.mspx - the trailer doesn't either: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubAVei5JzYA)
I remember reading an article not long ago that mentioned it was for XBLA. Could be wrong since I also don't see any mention of it on their site.

I think it was a mistake because everything shown at the Microsoft conference was put in the XBLA folder (even rentail stuff).

I must post this.

When is Wings of War: Famous Aces coming?

I realize its developer, Big Rooster, went broke. But it left Tide of Iron and Wings of War on the table. Dammit.

Hell yeah. Loved the first game. I just hope the guy who made it learns how to give all the achievements a value that ends in 5 or 0. That pisses me off when companies put odd number achievement values in their games.

Also, the video for that Bonk game looks like it could be pretty fun.

Lots of stuff that I will probably end up getting this year. I can hear my wallet crying already. :lol

So who's been playing Raskulls? Having fun? :)

Anyone care to make an official topic? I would, but I believe the rules stipulate people from the companies can't make them ourselves. Let's get some online games going!

I have - it's great!!

I played a few games online and did OK (but not got the ach.)

I think the controls could be a bit tighter, but that may be the Xbox controller itself - platforming games always seem hit & miss.

I'd have made the first few challenge missions a tad easier so that the trial doesn't scare people off by being practically impossible. I went back to them.

The swim/jump thing has caused a few mishaps and the button mashing aspects seem a little odd, but it's certainly fun.

I need to finish the medals off now I've done MegaQuest. Too many great games around at the moment, but for 800 points it's a great game and one of the top new IP I've tried this year.

Not sure if mentioned yet;

5th Cell, Hybrid.

Anyhow, I was pleased with 2010 as far as XBLA goes with SMB, Lara, Limbo, Pac Man and a number of others, but 2011 will likely take the cake.

Man I'm so happy Trine 2 is on the 360 this time around. About the only time I've had to boot the rig up in the last 4 years save WoW. Trine was so good.

Bought
Bastion
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
Trine 2 (crosses finger)

Not Sure

Dust: An Elysian Tail (used to be hype, but interest is gone already)
From Dust (I told myself not to buy any Ubi games, but the tech demo of this game. wow )

Dust, Toki and Rayman are like 3 games which I wanted to see years ago when devs were saying 2d games cost too much to make, the day has finally come and we get 3 of them! well more then that if you count all the others :p but those are my 3 main ones.

Poor sonic 4, never stood a chance.

I'm interested in:

Radiant Silvergun
Necromachina
Bastion
Fez
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
Spelunky
Bangai-O
Clash of Heroes HD
Hard Corps Uprising
Trouble Witches Neo
Outland
Ms. Splosion Man.
Battleblock Theatre
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online
Beyond Good & Evil HD
Rayman: Origins
The Fancy Pants Adventures
5th Cell
