24 hours from when the 'anomaly' was discovered, or 24 hours from when the test was taken?
Had the times wrong, test was wednesday and result is usually given within 48 hours from that. So by any measure it's BS to wait until 2 hours before puckdrop. Backstrom must be crushed.

The biggest game of his life.

Problems between NHLPA and IOK is probably a bigger threat to NHL players in 2018 than some injuries.

We can all agree that hockey analyst are full of crap. How wrong everybody turned out to be except for Canada winning gold of course.

They'll present it as a joke, "of course it's way too early to speculate, but that's what we do in Canada, har har har". Then spend an hour discussing it.

went on an internet blackout and watched the game on PVR without knowing the result.

Good job Canada! I found the game to be anti-climatic against Sweden. The 2010 was more of an intense nail biter.

Good job none the less

Sorry if I'm late. Erik Karlsson, on what the silver medal is worth to him (via Olympic News): "You will see when I put it out on eBay."

I had a hunch that whoever lost the US - Can game would finish 4th. Kinda sucks as in N America it's win or nothing, which is so selfish and not for your country - a medal is still something of value to your country. That's why I always love the Euro teams - the Olympics are seen as a national pride event, whereas it's about the players' pride for our two teams over here.

Yeah sure buddy.

Looking back on the tournament, it's impressive how composed Team Canada was, dominating play the large majority of their time on the ice.

Like everyone, I was worried that the lack of offensive production would be a liability when a bigger threat came along -- but that threat never really materialized. A bit anti-climactic, but I'll take it. They were a joy to watch.
Offensively they were consistently outplaying the opposition, they just couldn't finish.

You win games as a team!

USA is home of the best league in the world along with the best clubs in the world!

I wonder which team is the most popular and generate the most revenue, hmmm.
The team with the most Stanley cups isn't American either, hmmm.
