Stop that. BF4 was broken on all platforms. As Adam Orth once wisely instructed us:

"Deal with it".
I did deal with it and having CTE is pretty much what the PC community need to be positive and help fix what needs fixed. We got to be TRUE beta testers like we should have been long ago and we have full impact on the future of balance and gameplay where the true side of BF is shown. I am glad for one that DICE is pretty much pushing PC as the lead platform again and THE giveing the next gen consoles the rewards of our testing. PC players happy and shape the game and everyone else happy the game works finally(it really does).

Looks pretty dumb. The plot if the same gratuitous over-the-top inane nonsense we've come to expect. IT just seems more dopey now that the game is set within the confines of the U.S.

Oh and why do they keep calling the game "Omaha"? I guess I can surmise this is some sort of prior tentative title?

The video is an internal EA only presentation of the game, made before it was publicly announced. Back when the video was made, it was codenamed Omaha.

This is not a public video, which is why everything looks weird here and there, placeholder stuff and codenames.

I really like the theme but Battlefield is poison right now thanks to BF4. I know it's different devs but it's still EA and I honestly don't know how anyone could buy this day one.

not bad, will probably get it during the holidays since I liked BF4, wasn't that broken on X1 and I hear its decent on both now so hopefully they learned

This looks like BF4 in Payday 2 setting. Definitely a skip for me since it's a filler for MoH failure and Betafield 4 left a sour taste in my mouth after battling rubber-banding for a month.

Being from Nebraska the Code name Omaha is kind of cool..... I wonder if a shoot out happens in Omaha, NE in the game that is or at least a map please.

This looks amazing. Completely and utterly sold. It's like SWAT x Payday x GTA, this could be absolutely incredible if Visceral does it right.

Well, after watching that, I'm hyped. Did I see the guy who played Reggie in Infamous: Second Son in there?

In this thread, people reacting badly to an internal company video made to promote an in development title.

You know guys, this is why we can't have nice things : that's why companies tend to hold the announcement and make the marketing campaign.

Even if the graphics are final, most of what you've seen is made for people that are aware of the development cycle of a game. Most of you apparently aren't.

I think the game looks great, especially the Single Player part ; if they can keep the charm of Bad Company, it might just be the best of both worlds.

Right on the money here. It's why we have CG trailers early on.

You can see through walls. You unlock stuff in singleplayer with collecting points. You have an ultra scanner. You engage in FPS cutscenes breeching doors. You have hit markers. It uses an all hollywood cast, emulates TV, and is attempting to be visceral.

I hate modern FPS sometimes so much.

Umm all of this sounds cool. I love old school shooters but I always felt that Modern Shooters could do good well if they just gave us more fucking freedom. This game sounds like its doing just that.

Looks like Battlefield
Yes, sadly.
I absolutely detest what the Battlefield series has degraded to. Bad Company 2 was the peak and last good entry in my book.
Not only from a gameplay perspective but artistically the visuals suck so bad in Bf3/4 and I'm really disappointed to see that Visceral kept that boring and pale style for the new spin-off.

However, this trailer wasn't approved for public by PR, so I reserve judgement for their E3 presentation but so far, this has dehyped me completely. From what I've seen here, it's not only suffering from the cross-gen development but also from being a Battlefield entry.

Ahhh yeah, I figured it was some internal concept and demonstration video.

Thanks for the information.

Meh, still looks fun!

I wouldn't mind a new, more hardcore, Rainbow 6 though.

Huh, looks cool. I liked the concept of Payday but the game was janky, this looks like a more polished version of that with BF MP wrapped in.

Looks like what would happen if you combined Battlefield with Need For Speed Hot pursuit and some generic cop show drama.

sold on that description alone. this game looks really cool. i'm burned out on the modern military shooter. maybe this will work for me.

Looks like fun to me judging by this very early video.

That's Reggie huh? I was thinking the same thing.

Ever since the server replacement (or whatever it was) BF4 has been butter smooth for me on X1.

Color me VERY excited for this one as Battlefield has been my most played game since Bad Company 1.

I like the shift in themes/styles too. Not a total paradigm shift but enough of a fresh coat of paint to feel new.

We all know we are getting yearly entries from this point onwards. It is just the way the industry works. I would be totally happy if that meant a 3 year cycle rotating between a main series DICE Battlefield, an offsoot Visceral Battlefield, and a separate DICE team Star Wars Battlefront (c'mon we know its Battlefield space!).

That would keep things fresh and allow for a high level of polish for each title too.

Woke up this morning and saw this thread, wow. A lot happened over night! LOL!

My first thoughts are, why wasn't this type of gameplay done in Battlefield 4? Specifically speaking to the single player diversity and then the multiplayer modes as well.

I'm hoping the single player campaign is cooperative? It's gonna be lame doing all the tactical things they speak of with AI teammates.

I'm very excited for this, looks different from traditional Battlefield, and I'm really interested in the new game modes.

One thing I don't like is all the cut scenes and how they advertised that it's a cinematic single player experience, episodic...I don't like that, I wanna play a game, not a movie.

I haven't been this excited for a BF since BF2.

I have been tired of the mordern war setting for years so i appreciate them spicing it up by essentially making this cops vs robbers. Also, it takes away from the sting over that kickstarter game never coming to fruition. Also, i appreciate the TV show like take on the SP and the fact they are bringing in a lot of great actors.

I need dis.

Thank you for making sense and using logic unlike 90% people in here.

is it my screen or does this look actually worse than BF4 ?

I do not like settings / environment in this game. it doesn't even look fun.. and the guns.... why they look like from world war 2 or some texture is missing.

horrible. so far. I hope we get to see Titan fall 2 " I know I am dreaming " but at least COD this year look a lil more fun than this from what we have seen so far

Do you honestly think that's the final representation of the game? An internal PR trailer made specifically for press?

That's funny. I can't believe how many ignorant people are out there in video game land thinking alpha graphics are final graphics.

to the people who are saying it "looks like a mod" what the fuck do you expect? it's a battlefield game. there's only so many differences you can make to a grounded military fps, especially when the gunplay in the series is already so good. some of you people make no sense.

I'm just intrigued that the lead character is not a white male in his 30's. Hopefully there is more realistic diversity in more big budget games (since they are trying to match TV).
