I don't know why, but I always want the non-standard color options for consoles. If it launches in black, I want it in white, and if it launches in white, I want it in black.

USB Hard Drive is faster too, but 1TB is still nice for people who don't want to bother.

At the rate the price's been dropping, would be that surprising if it went down to $299? I don't think it'd be.

Issue is, if it does, Sony can drop the price and nullify it completely. Tough position to be in.

Yeah designers from MS admitted in an interview that kinect had to be black because it would sit next to TVs, and that even if they had considered having a white console they decided to keep everything the same color.

I can see why people would be upset, but at this point they've probably upset the early adopters enough. Would I be concerned about it? Not much more than I currently am, as we already know it's doing pretty bad (therefore a price cut wouldn't indicate they're doing bad since we already know they are).

So yea, they've upset early adopters enough, why not just go all the way and try to claw back some of the marketshare. $299 with Halo MCC in November and CoD marketing could help them keep the PS4 at bay during the Holidays. Otherwise I don't see them not getting trampled. Does this come off as overly negative? Sure does, but I don't think I'm too far off given what we know.

I got one at launch, I'm not gonna say i regret not waiting, but considering the amount of time I've actually played videogames on it compared to my PS4, it would've been nice holding off and getting a white one. Oh well.
