Everything you said applies to the US as well, aside from the Magic Circle. Wizardry is illegal is most states here.

It's very telling of someone's character if they decide to do something like that. You can argue all you want that it's not a big deal, and you can make a decent argument that it doesn't especially where he is today, but I don't know anyone who did in college.

edit: I said this out of context though, if all he did was skip classes then nevermind most people do every now and then.

I've been hearing mathematics is looked down upon in the US relative to STEM subjects, when it results in some of the highest starting wages in the top UK unis and is included in STEM (hence the M ). Same for doing BA at top universities, you can still get into professional services as the university name is more important. I don't understand the US Liberal Arts system, which seems to be different to what i'm talking about. This is the sense I get when going into off topic threads about it.

Jesus, dude. I know you love to talk mess about psych. degrees, but you might want to go talk to a psychologist about this pent up rage you've got.

On topic, recently became a premium subscriber. (Don't worry, I'm not going to ask for recommendations, already found them.) That Bot Colony premium video is incredible.

Wtf... I was watching the show on delay like I always do and it just ended suddenly with "There is currently no show" screen.... sigh wtf. Normally if you don't exit or refresh the page you can still watch the dvr delay.

HAHA. That's my dad right there. Whenever we would buy movies years ago on DVD I would push for widescreen, but my dad would always win and get "fullscreen". Just the other day he watched one of those "fullscreen" movies on our HDTV and was bummed that it did not fill the screen. I told him he should've listened to me all those years ago and picked up the widescreen movie instead. Thankfully, Blu-Ray retains OAR on nearly all movies so this is not an issue for most part.

If this is what it takes to keep the revitalized Giant Bomb going then I am 100% in favor of it. The site has come a long way since E3. It's the best it's been since they were bought.

Ughh... I was working in a video rental place in the early '00 and this was the worst... We actually made displays to leave on the counters next to the cash register that showed scenes from Starwars Episode 2 in both format to show people that the fullscreen actually had less content than the widescreen.

Yeah, although you have things like The Simpsons in HD being all cropped because they made it fit widescreen televisions... all because people can't handle the black bars on the side of their TV. Assuming we all end up watching stuff in super widescreen or even in the VR headsets, I can only imagine the new complaints that people will have with old content on newer display technologies. lol
