Bayonetta 2 getting a Collector Edition in Europe (dated Oct 24)

I haven't got an upgrade email but they've done it.. for £32 too! WOW.

I'm really impressed with Amazon - in the online space their CS is unrivalled. I'm quite happy now;)

Thank God I didn't cancel..

Upgraded as well. I have to laugh at the people who didnt think this was going to happen, amazon have come through for me with orders that are MUCH higher value than this.

I did. But I got an email about somebody checking up on the situation and he wrote me an email to confirm the release date, which of course wasn't what I was asking for. Well, it was my fault for not waiting.

Same here, just checked, no email but I've been upgraded. Amazon pulled through! My guess on the delay and unknown was them trying to bargain with Nintendo for extra stock and a wholesale discount to cover it.

Has everyone received the email now? Because I still haven't because I cancelled my original order as advised, so I may need to contact Amazon again

EDIT Tried again. The rep have forwarded my issue and I should receive an e-mail regarding this in 3-5 business. Hopefully this will work out

The impression I got from this thread was that most people were just waiting it out actually. Only a few people cancelled prematurely?

I haven't been following the whole thread . Bailed out after seemingly everyone and their mom was raging over wrong item descriptions and strange cs replies.

I cancelled after four different cs reps told me the issue has been already investigated and that no orders would be upgraded. Who could know they'd investigate the matter again? Anyway I finally got my free upgrade plus (for whatever reason) free shipping to Germany. Sweet :)

How did you get it? What did you do? I was told to cancel my original order too and they won't honor it for me now :/

Just contact the customer service again. They finally know about the upgrades and will manually lower the price if you order the Special Edition.

I just explained the issue and asked for an upgrade, the cs rep checked everything and told me I should order again so that he could lower the price. Maybe they didn't had these orders yet, when you talked to them?

After a 30 minute chat I finally got the upgrade "as an exception". That was extremely tough to get (that poor rep must have been super annoyed at me in the end :p), but I am happy I have finally gotten it as well.

Yeah, LTTP here but I just remembered I got an email form Amazon saying I'd get contact on the 16th regarding the order and just checked my emails. Got a free upgrade to the special edition so in a way, sadly, I'm gonna cancel my Limited First Print edition because I seriously can't justify spending around £30 more for a little art book and fancy box no matter how cool and how hyped I am for Bayo 2.

I also got the upgrade. Not sure if I will stick with my Limited Edition preorder at Amazon.fr now that I get such a great price for the Special Edition.

Glad to see everyone's getting upgrades, faith in Amazon restored. I cancelled my order and jumped ship to OzGameShop, but it works out cheaper for me (Amazon UK charges something like £9 for shipping to Australia).

All editions of Bayo 2 (including the FPE) are now available on Mediamarkt.DE, for 50€, 60€, and 70€ respectively.

You can choose post delivery or local pick-up.

EDIT 2: Not available at MediaMarkt.de anymore. That was quick!
EDIT 3: Available again.



EDIT 1: Also, I cancelled my pre-order of the First Print Edition at gameware.at
It's 90 bucks, but if anyone really wants it... maybe it will become available again.

Just been on to Amazon who promised me a few days ago that if I reordered and the free upgrade happened, to get in touch and they'd honour it.

Initially it seemed like they weren't going to do it, despite me being told a few days ago they would. But after reiterating the process I'd been through and what I'd been told they got me to order the special edition then they'd adjust the price. They made a point of saying this was an exception to their usual policy. I imagine this Bayonetta fiasco has been a little nightmare for them really, what with everyone contacting customer support.

Now have the special edition for £31.85 :D Amazon customer support reigns supreme

ordered, thank you :)

alternate.de told me they wont be able to deliver, even though I ordered within minutes after they put it up :(
now I have one preordered at Media Markt and one at Amazon...
