But he has an amazing origin story, a sweet suit, and a lot of potential. I hope they do some Miles films after Parker

I'm fine with this casting. He wasn't anything special in The Maze Runner but from the Teen Wolf videos I've seen of him, he seems like a great choice.

Garfield is associated with terrible movies. No one's going to want to bring him back.
Also his Spidey was cringeworthy.
Maze Runner was a mediocre movie and not a good judge of O'Brien's talent. His performance in Teen Wolf is fab. Shows what an O'Brien lead Spider-Man would probably be like.

He might not fit the tone, I dunno. But I remember that one scene where he gives Peter Parker a swastika tattoo on his ass with an ink-pen and a lighter. Very odd for his character, but hey, gotta trust the actor.
Andrew Garfield would bring the stink of The Amazing Spider-Man movies with him. And even then, despite being a great Spidey, he was a mediocre Peter Parker.

Tobey had the opposite problem Andrew had. A great Peter Parker, but an okay-at-best Spider-Man. Plus Tobey Maguire is way too old for the role now (Marvel wants someone in their 20's or younger). Plus it's Marvel Studios driving the car so-to-speak, so I wouldn't be too sure about this bombing.

Nobody knows yet. The point is that the Russo's are establishing the character, both in look and tone, which is awesome.
According to the guy, Logan Lerman was about to get the role until Dylan O'Brien brought the audition of his life, which convinced the Sony & Marvel guys to give Dylan the role.
