You know , you didn't see me during the last and ( god how many ) sao discussion ( or should i say dislike ?) because i'm honnestly tired of it.Can we just stay on danmachi , please ? This is becoming tiresome.

Lol, don't say that on my behalf, lol
I kid, I kid

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
The most absurd was probably in episode 1 because it went on for like, half a minute

Unless you are talking absurd because handsome duck men, then yes we are there

Its not "handsome duck men," its straight-up Luciano Pavarotti in a duck suit.

Oh god are we already into the absurd foodgasms?

Hey, it could be worse. We could be invoking the power of friendship. (See, every other shonen in the history of the universe). Besides, I just had to listen to people bag on Golden Time for like 4 pages. ><

First, talking about anime trope is just part of talking anime. When someone is discussing one anime in particular ( that wasn't discussed in a while ( talking about golden time )) ..i don't see the problem. i ignore the shows that i haven't seen or that i don't plan to see.

But if you're talking about a show but can't resist the cheap sneak attack , i really don't see the point you know.

I know , i know this fight scene was done better in that anime, that other anime dealt better with his harem. Oh that one has much better animation ! Look at danmachi that used his plot better !
Sao doesn't need to be the benchmark for comparaison in every anime situation...at some point you've gotta let it go.

I think you're overanalyzing it, man. I'm just making that comparison because because its the same voice actor in basically the same role. (The same reason I referenced Kirito when referring to Yukihira Soma as "Gary Stew" lol)

Also, they also forgot to mention that Bell has SS rank agility. Too stronk.

Unfortunately with SNAFU the problem is at the end of the day it is an adaption. And assuming there would be enough extra content for a third season what would be the point if there weren't anymore books left to sell? If we assume that there is only 2 books left in the franchise until completion I think the best we could hope for is an extended OVA to finish the anime off with the possibility of cinema screenings that seem to be popular recently for that sort of thing.

Because Marvelous would want more discs to sell. Unlike a lot of adaptations, the publisher isn't on the committee. This series is funded by Marvelous, NBC Universal, TBS, and Movic.

Megumi Day! Also School Camp Arc!

Hype for the best scenes.

Megumi day is always a great day.

Rokku no Yuusha cast http://rokka-anime.jp/

 • Adlet: Sōma Saitō
 • Nachetania: Yōko Hikasa
 • Fremie: Aoi Yūki
 • Hans: Kenichi Suzumura
 • Maura: Rina Satou
 • Chamot: Ai Kakuma
 • Goldov: Kōki Uchiyama

Non non biyori S2 PV2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-QoYo1gpPs

Rokka looks like a decent adventure sort of story. I like the designs. WIll keep an eye on this one too.

But the more important thing, Non non Biyori returns!

Bell was a S-rank badass in this episode.
KuGsj.gif
That he did that shit in front of S-rank waifu probably got him some Komachi points.

I believe she's lvl 6 and he's still lvl 1. I think stats get capped for each level, where lvl 1 you're capped to 999 at each stat, making you a S rank in the stat. When you level up, that cap moves to 1999 and so forth but you revert back down to the lowest possible rank (H?). I'm guessing Bell's lvl 2 now in the next ep.

DanMachi 8
Great ep and Bell finally got to shine. That fight scene was brutal :D Guess Bell's gonna need some new gear after that fight. Wonder if he'll keep that long sword. I can see how people can accuse Bell for being OP, he paid for the subscription fee in that world and is getting 10x XP :)

edit: Ah found a nice explanation regarding the stat system
http://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/36wb2f/spoilers_dungeon_ni_deai_wo_motomeru_no_wa/crhmz9m

To prepare for incoming questions of what the hell "all S" means, I'll info dump a bit.
Stats are rated in letters from I (i) up to A and then S above that. These correspond to the number values:
0-99 I (i)
100-199 H
200-299 G
300-399 F
400-499 E
500-599 D
600-699 C
700-799 B
800-899 A
900-999 S
These are applied to attributes: Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, Magic.
You gain stat increases by using the attributes, so if you hit people a lot, STR goes up. If you take a punch in the face, END goes up. Sneak attack, and DEX increases. Dodge, and AGI is boosted.
Magic is increased by using magical spells, which can be acquired by reading magical grimoires, basically spell books that get used up once read.
In addition, there are "development abilities", which are generally gained on level up. Usually you get a random assortment of choices, but they tend to be related to what you've been doing a lot of lately. There are abilities, like poison resistance, increased damage to beasts, or advanced smithing. They increase in power just like attributes, the more you use them. There are also "skills", which are actively triggered specials that can help you in various ways.
Leveling up is tricky business, and usually requires a "heroic feat", rather than just increasing stats. What exactly constitutes a feat is hazy, but it helps if you fight a monster much stronger than yourself, etc.
Once leveled, your power is virtually doubled, creating a massive gap between Adventurers of different levels, even though your attributes are all reset again. Every new level your attributes restart from I 0, but there are hints that previous level stats are carried over in some hidden form.
The anime's official website gives Bell's current stats as:
Lv 1
STR: S 982
END: S 900
DEX: S 988
AGI: SS 1049
MAG: B 751
This is before the minotaur fight, however.

That film has already been released in the US apparently, the set there looks decent. Doubt this is my kind of film, aesthetically speaking.
Pic of US Set by NIS, came out last May:

I reallyl ove the look of this. SOmehow it lsipped under my radar though. I only just got a hold of Patema Inverted though, so with regards to these sorts of projects, Im way behind the curve.

More Hanayamata, too much moe. I like it.
oTzIPL4l.png

I love this show to death. Hope theres more.

it's all been down hill since B Gata H Kei.

To be fair, that was a truly lofty perch and bar to cross.
Perfectly balanced comedy.

What looks fine to me..
4BVyl.gif

(Awesome show btw)

The only problem with these releases is the friggen' price! The first (and best part) of SAO with English Dubs on Blu-Ray (approx 15 episodes) is over $100 bucks! WTF?

Oh that sound be interesting. I started watching ep. 4 and had to shut it off or else I would keep going. I'm trying to finish up Golden Time right now for the day. Day before a long weekend means the office will be DEAD.....
Dubbed versions from your rec yesterday. It's odd becuase the voices often sound better than the annimation and coloring of the show, lol.

BTW, I won't post it because it is a huge Clannad After Story spoiler, but my God the below gif just got me all over again, damn that show, damn it..
http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lzu3jiLPVC1rodrzwo1_r1_500.gif

These emotions are not supossed to keep bubbling back up, but I really wish there were more moments and stories as powerful as that to watch.

The price? Honestly the price is very reasonable for the length of the show. 100$ is very cheap. I think Sentai has people spoiled, but you also get what you pay for.

I agree that it was effective, if only because you simply don't see it in anime in this manner. Crying is usually much more "graceful", for lack of a better adjective. Even the great crying scene in Non Non Biyori - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHbIQY6E87A - still allows Renge to look "good" as she expresses how devastated she feels.

But it's also part of why this season has felt like melodrama, because it is playing up the Batman/Yukino conflict in order to drive the rest of this season (and what I believe are at least 4-5 volumes of the light novels). There just isn't room for subtlety given how the relationship between the characters have developed.

Non Non Biyori had so much heart. It conveyed all sorts of motions extremely well which you possibly wouldnt expect from such a show.

Golden Time 12-21:
OK, that was a shocking change of events, like WTF? Really, WTF just happened in ep.21? I mean, there has been a ton of rama throughout, but that was not expected one bit, so now it's explaination time. I know whe is just trying to protect herself, right... right? WTF.

Welcome to the aggravation train! You'll be riding it to the end!

The one he totally broke on the minotaurs remaining horn just before plunging the knife in for the last time?
I doubt it.

Ah I must have missed it snapping, I thought it got knocked out of his hand

He
made a dent on hit with the big sword but that sword broke.. probably what made the horn drop after ward when the upper body explosed. BUt before the explosion , the horn was still on the minotaur head.

Golden Time for some reason stopped being a good watch for me. Almost like a chore. Not that it was bad but was meh. Toradora was absolutely spectacular though :).

A chore sums it up well. I didnt buy the show because of hat, as much as I love Koko. Maybe when its bargain bin.

Splatoon comes out in a week, and then squids will take over the world. So in preparation there's a special show I need to watch.

Ika Musume 1

The invasion from the ocean as begun. Marine life shall take their revenge on humanity. Some day. Later. Probably not today. Ika Musume is one of the cuter invaders I've seen. I for one welcome our new squid overlord. The family is good too. Eika is the normal one with realistic (anime) reactions to the whole squid coming to take over the world. Won with pointing out we have tanks. Ika should probably try and do her research next time. Takeru is a fun boy that wants to hang out with the new girl. Seems like he will be an excellent spy in the future. Chizuru is the caring member of the family. Very caring. And dangerous. I guess we don't need tanks when we have ninjas who work in beach restaurants. Thankfully Ika can use her actually impressive powers for good. Like carrying the dishes. And making cheap squid ink spaghetti. This is going to be a good one.

Yayyyy you have started something really fun and impossibly adorable!

That's actually a really apt way to put it. Kinda like how WIXOSS is "good".

Nothing compared to how "good" Code Geass can be!
Also, we havent seen anyone watching BLood-C lately :(

You picked a great way to describe it. It has a ton of heart that is emotional but it's executed poorly. The ending was great but most of the show was mediocre with bad teen drama.

Yeah it ended on a good note. Normally I prefer a good journey to a good ending, but in this case it had to redeem itself and I honestly felt like it did.

Golden Time-END
Oh well, Damn. I mean damn. It was worth it after all That's what I'm talking about...! I feel stupid for thinking the way I did yesterday now, lol. That was not what I expected at all from the way the second season was going previously. I should always remember from all the shows I've seen so far that
the childhood friend always loses!
; it's always been like that. You guys all had me thinking something totally different was going to happen, and well, the director/writer had me thinking the same thing as well, so I can't blame you guys; it's my own crazy mind, lol. I must say though, other than
his memories "ghost" handing him the ring as they merged, I'll let the "ghost" stuff pass because is was more symbolism throughout and not a gimick like I thought it could be.
Also, at the end,
I understand why Linda showed up on the bridge as he ran towards Koko
, it was showing how he allowed himself to accept his past and fully move on to the direction he really wanted to go in life
with the best girl Koko
Overall, I feel the ending was handled really well, ya'll know I'm a sucker for a
happy ending
It really was a beautiful moment and made me feel good, so dispite some of the fiiller crap throughout the seasons to completely confuse the crap out of you at times, it was really well done and I'm glad
Koko and Banri accepted each other faults and will move along together
Only thing I would have added at the end was either
Linda reaching out to Yana, which may have been implied at that ending part, but wasn't clear. Either way that frantic last few minutes were great.
Once again, I'm far too accepting and tolorant, but it was pretty damn good to finish this one.

Possibly you might be, but you just got into anime. IN any case, this was a suitable ending because it ended the way we all wanted it to, but holy shit it was ridiculous getting to this point and many times almost didnt happen. I wanted to punch the screen a bunch of times.

Nisekoi S2 ep. 07
LOl, pretty damn funny episode. We all love teddy bear panties, lol! It's great we got more Onedara time on screen, she is the best girl after all. Looks like her little
sister found out it was his locket as mentioned at the credits, so next week she will become a part of the harem as well!
Good stuff here, Young master is the man!

Well at least we can agree on this.

He
made a dent on hit with the big sword but that sword broke.. probably what made the horn drop after ward when the upper body explosed. BUt before the explosion , the horn was still on the minotaur head.

Ah ok thanks. Think I'll rewatch this ep later, wouldn't mind seeing that fight scene again

What a great end to Polnareff's fight. Not too warm on the Holly & Nukesaku interludes but we probably need some breathing room before getting to Dio.

Actually, there are some really cool details there if you look hard.
At the finish, the second internal firebolt actually bursts the minos right wrist, severing the hand completely. You can see the hand popping off and dropping to the side.

So yeah, this just became one of those fight scenes that I will obsess over for a loooong time.

Damn you are right I didn't even see it the first time around. This show turned out to be a surprise this season. They say don't judge a book by its cover, but in this case I guess it would be don't judge an anime by its title! lol

Another surprise for me is Euphonium. I am generally not into the whole "cute girls in a club at school doing cute stuff" genre, but this one is so much more than that also. Another case of me judging a show poorly beofre even giving it a shot.

Yona of the Dawn 15
The new intro sucks.

Episode starts pretty heavy, focused on King Il's legacy as a failure and Yona's grief regarding it. The second half is focused on general Gun Tae, who is nostalgic to the era before King Il outlawed warfare. He deals with King Soo Won, who is visiting the area, pessimistic that the king is going to take the kingdom back to its previous glory days. As for what the king has in mind with the mock battle and festival, well, I guess the payoff for that has to come later.

Yeah it was such an odd choice. Like, why? But the new ending theme is pretty dope and fits the series really well.

I wish I knew what the ranks mean in regards to the world, it who cares, that was well choreographed and awesome to watch! Plus that last scene was well deserved as well, he should get more actually. . I hope she wins in the end! Great day for me watching anime today, that was a treat for sure!

Oh, this looked great on my Vita, so I wonder if it would look better streamed on my PS4 later?

Yup, festival was all part of Soo Won's plan, a clear demonstration of Soo Won's effectiveness as a king. First time seeing him in action, he is pretty good!

Yeah, the ending is pretty good. Seriously, the opening music not only does it not fit, it's terrible.

I literally burst out laughing when I heard it the first time. The person that green lighted this decision was probably Tarou.

Enjoy the remainder of the show, 17 onwards is the best part, great performances and moments from Yona and her following. It's one of my favourites shows this year and will undoubtedly be in my top 2015.

Yup. The manga is my current favorite series. Every time you think it cant get any better, it just does. If there's a season 2 and 3, they will be goddamn fantastic.
