Vita "hacked," (PSP) homebrew on the way (not piracy)

It won't happen.

If he's lucky, he might even get a Vita at 3.18 or below.
I don't think it's possible
I got my Vita slim new and it had 3.35 installed in it
And rich bought the new white matte with black analog stick
I hope it will be 3.50

Yep. It will be 3.50. I'm not fussed about rejuvenate as I have a N3DS which is significantly better than it for emulation. But itll be nice for future exploits.

Anyhow. I've done well with this - bought an oled second hand in June for £60 with three games. Traded it in to CEX for £80 and got a Slim for £120.

Now I've sold the slim with the three games for £80 and bought a brand new matte finish white and black for £125 (£138 including postage) from Play-Asia.

Not bad for a grand total of £138! I've spent less on those three vitas put together than the retail price of a standard black Slim here in the UK (£179.99)!!

This is really great deal
I stayed 4-5 months for rejuvenate, it was very basic
When my brother updated my Vita i didn't get angry because i lost hope for it

ok, how to install the FTP program ?
i am trying to launch VHBL but i get this message

"error!
couldn't find any homebew in
ms0:/PSP/VHBL
please check your config file and restart HBL"

the ftp app is a save folder for dragon ball z and have zip file inside it
I used ARK-2 with ONEMenu to install the FTP tool.
The menu automatically scans all save folders and lists the INSTALL.ZIP it finds for installing.

any help ?
i can't see the FTP program
It should be under a new category below PSP and PS1 games. It if isn't, try to install the INSTALL.ZIP again and when it asks if you want to overwrite say no.

I have the problem that the FTP tool vanishes from the list in ARK every time I start it. Re-installing fixes this and you can then simply delete all the duplicates via FTP.

After you ripped them did you convert them to an eboot? If not you need to do that before the psp can run them.

I am on mobile at atm. So I can't really write anything up but you can try this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-to-converting-ps1-games-for-psp.206195/. If you get errors you might need to rip the game again. When I rip my games I try them out it an emulator first to make sure they work.

Edit. I have never tried anything with the ps3. I just have og psx cds.

Shoot. Managed to get TN-V installed, but the rebuild of the database deleted my ARK bubble. Now I am really in a jam, because this happened before I could copy over the 660.PBP. And my Vita refuses to connect to QCMA.

So, I can't transfer via FTP (no ARK), and I can't use QCMA. Any suggestions?

Edit: Nevermind, got it up and running.

Hmm I haven't tried onemenu I just hit select in ark to go into file viewer and launch it from there. So it doesn't even show up that it is on the memory card?

Well it shouldn't be an iso once converted you should have an eboot.pbp and thats all you move over and launch that.

i know , i copied both the iso file and the eboot file and put them inside the ark2 folder

BTW , i already rebuild my database several times but the ark bubbles didn't get deleted
but when i manually delete it , then restore the game from my PC , it come back ( the exploited game doesn't show , it already become ark and VHBL and TNV

You don't need to copy the iso that is just taking up space. In ark if you hit select and find the eboot and hit x to launch it. It should launch the psx game if it doesn't something went wrong when changing it to the eboot. That last bit I am having trouble understanding what you mean. Rebuilding the database will not delete ark or the changes you made to the database with mrgases hack. If you ever do delete ark off your save data using QCMA and then re-add it you do need to copy the base game back or ark wont launch.

Quick questions:

I bought Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions ages ago on a PSN sale. I'd love to play it, since FFTA is one of my favorite games ever, but I've heard there's some massive slowdown in this release. I downloaded the slowdown fix patch and applied it to a, eh, backup of my game. How could I replace the game on my Vita with my, eh, patched backup? I could run the game through ARK and use the cheat engine to apply the fix (I'm playing Peace Walker this way right now), but it would have been much easier to just run it via the bubble I already have customized.

I'm thinking about updating to 3.55, since I already have everything I would want (customized PSP icons, ARK and TN-V) and Vita Update Blocker stopped working a few days ago. How should I do it? What would I lose and how should I recover it? My ARK bubble was done with the MajorGas trick and my TN-V bubble with Qwikrazor's. Also, when ARK-3 is released, swapping the old files with the new one would be enough, right? I assume we won't need to create a new bubble for it.

Edit: Wait. Both my TN-V and ARK bubbles were created with Qwikrazor's method. My bad.

Why not use the ps3 to transfer the games?

If you're replying to me, that won't do much for me. I use QCMA to transfer all my games. I don't have a PS3 to begin with, but even if I had, that's not what I wanted to do. I was trying to replace an official EBOOT.PBP with one I patched myself, but I gave up on the idea. The restrictions on /GAME are too much. I settled for using a hotkey while booting ONEMenu with ARK (circle) to go directly into the game without having to re-scan the whole folder every time. That's as best as it gets, I guess.

I'm still wondering whether I should update to 3.55 now. Does anyone know if updating reverts the changes you made to the database (e.g. custom bubble icons and modified titles)? I know my TN-V and ARK bubbles will survive, but I'm wondering if the other changes will.

My matte finish White Vita arrives tomorrow!

Heres hoping it won't be a hassle to sign onto my PSN via update blocker and move TN-V over...

edit: wait, that was friday. oh shit.

ah well, I don't care. My N3DS is far superior in terms of homebrew and emulation and my PSTV plays the few PSP games I have. I'm fine!

you can still use the PS3 to transfer everything and to activate the new system
or use QCMA to transfer your games
if you on 3.50 keep it

Yep, it'll be on 3.50...but how do I register my PSN and PS+ games to it without updating/spoofing?

Quick question

For my new Vita, I will be using the same 64gb card I used with my old Vita and which I use for my PSTV. It has TN-V installed on it.

Surely itll just work on my new Vita and appear after putting it in? No?

I *think* that you can freely exchange cards between Vitas as long as they have been registered to the same account. It's one of the methods for getting ARK et al onto higher-firmware systems if you don't have a PS3.

Huh, good question. I honestly wouldn't know, since I just have one Vita. I can't find any specifics about that situation, but you should try. At worst, you'll get a prompt asking you to format. At best, it works out of the box.

Haven't had a chance to mess with it as I'm at work and my memory card is at home, but its firmware 3.52

But hooooly shit this is the best looking handheld I've owned by far. And the matte finish is awesome, no more fingerprints!

Assuming your using the same account (a must) then it all depends on the firmware versions your running on each device. I believe the card remembers the last firmware it was used on, and if the next device you try it on has a lower firmware then it'll ask you to update

Any updates on 3.55 capable setups?

Not giving up PSN so i really hope they get something a bit more permanent one of these days

You mean a setup that provides homebrew etc while on 3.55? AFAIK, quickrazers bubbles still work on 3.55 (but I think they had to be created prior to the update to 3.55)

congrats man , this Vita is really beautiful
enjoy it
but damn , its already on 3.52 ? sony is really trying to seal everything

Tried to make a TN-V bubble but because it needs TN-V 11, it messes with TN-X. Also seems like TN-V 11 wasn't ported to Talkman Tokyo. Reverted back to how it was, the 30 seconds loading that the fame does before crashing and launching TN-V is not long enough to bother me.

I'm considering trying to do some bubble customising though to change the names and images of the exploit games to reflect TN-V and TN-X, can I easily restore the original app.db if there is an issue?

I have a Vita on 3.50, but I'm not really sure where to start or what this will get me. Can someone link me to a good tutorial or explain what I can do with this?

Quick question about updating to 3.55.
I have ARK and TN-V installed via email exploit. As far as I understand updating to 3.55 only fixes the email exploit but already created bubbles should stay functional.
Does that mean fully functional? Like still being able to use Vita FTP/INSTALL.ZIP to transfer games on the Vita. Or only functional like it is but nothing can be changed?
And anything I should do additionally before updating?

I'm on the same boat as you and I'm pretty sure that the ONLY thing that the 3.55 patches is the e-mail exploit. Everything that was created prior to updating should still be fully functional. You should even be able to install new homebrew via ARK. Wait for some confirmation from another person, though.

The only thing that's stopping me from updating is not knowing what happens to database modifications, such as custom bubble icons or names. Do they get erased? That would be pretty fucky, to be honest.

I updated my Vita. Everything still works and VitaFTP is fully functional as well.
I didn't do any database modifications, so no idea about that unfortunately.
