For the OT title I was thinking about some reference to Great Detective Pikachu, but I'm not sure what Digimon would be best to use

Pretty sure they are coming because one of the quest will unlock Dianamon and it will feature a character from a previous game. I don't really know anything about the dlc missions because I imported the game out of region so I can't access any of that. I am still kinda salty about it tbh and it's too cumbersome to do the factory reset trick. That's the warning for anyone who wants the physical asian copy on a NA vita; you will have some blanks in your digivolution chart.

They look pretty similar but the VIta's screen is so small in comparison that I can't see much details. Like in the third screenshot, the woman in the background is hard to make out on the VIta. I wonder how much different this game will look on the Vita TV?

So has anyone played this on the Vita TV? Is it compatible and if so how does it look? I assume similar to the PS4 version since the game is upscaled?

Hell I think Gabumon has more exposure than Patamon.

yeah, probably. I was saying in a more parallel/for intents and purposes sort of way. there's really an actual equivalent of either but those are the ones in my opinion.

Money haha. With taxes it'll be $90 in Canada on PS4 for some bizarre reason (more than Halo 5, Black Ops 3 and other AAA games at launch) and presumably about half that price on Vita, so if the only difference is some upscaled graphics it's very tempting to go that route!
(Although there is no tax on PSN so digital PS4 version still tempts me... playing a new Digimon game on a console would be so cool)

Dang, now I have to figure out when I am buying this. I want to buy it tomorrow and then purchase some preorders later in the month. That assumes these companies let me. I've went digital only and it can be a pain when companies treat digital preorders like they barely exist. Hopefully, the promo lasts for the entire month of February.

Those aren't pre-order bonuses, they're just exclusive to the western versions of the game iirc.

No, DLC has to be bought from the store of the region the games is from. Also, Vita will not allow DLC from multiple account on the one memory card so you will need a 2nd card and PS account to use the dlc.
