Listen, I don't even care about that, Capcom has long been the worst offender in terms of "Hey, a new hat for Cammy for $5.99!"; it just bothers me that I literally can't play a best of three match against AI. Had I know that I would have never pre-ordered (which on PSN is non-refundable), but they have never released a game without an arcade mode at least. I find it all baffling.

Yep. It's like, this is THE marquee Capcom franchise, it's bad enough Sony had to step in to make this happen(understandable though), but to have things roll out like this... It would be different and they were honest and made it very public that this is a game in development like KI when it first launched and had absolute transparency, offered a similar free to play model. But they didn't. It's not like they didn't have examples to look at. They just keep making bad decisions. It's pretty obvious why SF is in the state it is now, Capcom doesn't know what the fuck to do with their aging franchises, from the people doing the design to the businessmen at the top. Out of touch would be an understatement.

I couldn't agree more, and it is made worse by the example set by MK X: plethora of content and unlockable gear, not to mention the daily, weekly and premiere towers always rotating and the overall maintaining a feel true to the original vision. That is the model of a full price launch game or, as you said, follow the KI model which is reasonable too. Again, just wish I had waited from a single player perspective.

i somewhat disagree...After about a months time Im over 500k and I'm doing mostly everything I find easy with the exception of beating hell mode with Ken.

Story mode
Survival easy
Survival normal
Leveling your characters (better if you play multiple)
Demonstrations
Turtorials (depend on your skill level maybe?)

I'd say all of that is pretty easy and doesn't require a crazy amount of time, but it is substantial, survival normal is easy just takes like 15 minutes a character. That's also most of the colors for your character if you do them all.

Some stuff I'd like changed is more FM per win. You should get 50 for just playing. Maybe around 100 of 150 for wins?

Also colors should be unlocked for all costumes, or you should get FM for doing survival again for alternate consumes.

Hold up. Survival normal doesn't take 15 minutes. It takes more like 30-40 due to load times, with only 10-15 minutes of actual match time in there.

Also, I wouldn't say it's easy. The AI that turns on in rounds 25-30 can be fairly brutal and end a good run real fast over just 1 or 2 mistakes, let alone having to rely on the RNG of the supplements (AI once was only ever offered Health Recovery Low throughout that entire range).

I've also got friends who are new to Street Fighter and can't even get through Survival Easy. People can say "git gud then scrubs," but that's not really helpful to the community or growing the player base. As it stands, Fight Money is difficult for some people to earn at a decent rate.

There are a few that are great, such as Ryu's and Chun-Li's. Alex's alts suck, he just looks weird barefoot. Rashid's is also terrible, they just played out a stereotype (which they already did with his regular costume). Ken's attire is fine but it looks weird as hell with his messed up face. Ugh. I'm going to buy the season pass just because I want Capcom to fund season 2. Its $30 for the season, right?

Is this a joke? Even as an exaggeration, this doesn't work.

I could list many examples of other franchises that have Capcom beat in this regard.
In a game where I can earn all my characters for free, they can charge whatever the hell they want for optional cosmetic DLC. Especially, when there's plenty of free cosmetic DLC in the game, as well.

I'm at 400k from doing story for everyone including Alex, easy survival for everyone, the trials for everyone, the demonstrations up to expert, medium survival for 2 characters, and about ~40 ranked wins.

Anyway, so the battle costumes for the original 16 aren't available 'til the zenny store opens? The only one I'm really interested in is Laura; I hate her normal and story costumes, but her battle costume is dope and fits her better and makes me want to play her. I started learning her to find out I gotta wait for the costume! Not an actual problem, but I hope we get it sooner than later.

I seem to be my resting my hope on the fact that the game isn't actually "finished" but if those costumes go up for sale, I think its much less reasonable for them to fix something someone purchased.
