You want 5 week months now!!

I know what you mean, yes you have to wait an extra week, but from next Thursday you only have to wait the same amount of days for the next NPD. :)
Good. You have no idea now many times i had to repeat 'Second thursday of every month' out loud before it got etched in and 'third Thursday' sounds like an even bigger hassle

From that link

Nintendo

Nintendo saw a 39 percent increase in 3DS family (3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, and 2DS) sales during the month of June. Both Kirby: Planet Robobot and Rhythm Heaven Megamix performed well. The former hit number four on NPD’s retail charts (full list available on July 21). The latter, a digital-only release, sat atop the eShop charts for most of the month.

Of note, Super Smash Bros. hit a milestone on both Wii U and 3DS. On the home console, sales crossed the 2 million mark. The handheld edition surpassed 3 million units sold.

That 3DS data is most likely MoM, so it would be <100k.

Microsoft

Microsoft is standing by its decision not to report hardware sales data, but said that more than 1.2 billion hours were played on Xbox One. That’s a platform record and double performance from a year ago.

Called that Kirby would be top 5. A nice month for 3DS software. Very curious as to how Overwatch and Mirror's Edge did.

Ps4 was always going to win with xb1 slim announcement. Ps4 will win July aswell.

August will be more interesting.
Nah there are some crazy fire sale deals for xb1 going around so I would be absolutely shocked if xb1 did not win next month

Unknown?

Yes but the price was cut to 279 as well not that it is big but still something

Considering no XOs were charting on Amazon except the S(in the 50 range) till the fire sell doubt it will win July. August will be interesting but no notable software and the S isn't outselling the PS4 on Amazon so if it wins it'll be because of a month and half of deferred sells.

Maybe you guys are right and ps4 will win but something as small as these things can make a difference in a slow month like July.

We would need to see just how big the gap was this month before talking about July. I need to calculate the June to July weekly average to be sure, but I believe the average drop is around 20%, so if they were close, then maybe, but if they were far apart, they will stay that way.

If Aqua deliver the HW numbers, the deadline for predictions will not make sense.

I want be counted so I will make my predictions now:

[3DS] 95k
[PS4] 248k
[WIU] 35k
[XB1] 160k

I almost forget to post my predictions this month. I hope I'm on time because hardware sales excluding 3DS monthly percent change (+39%) haven't been leaked yet.

[3DS] 93,000
[PS4] 265,000
[WIU] 36,000
[XB1] 180,000

If anyone has a gamrConnect account and would like to let Aqua know you want hardware data, please let her know in the NPD thread over there.

I saved off the current predictions as of 9:05 p.m. EDT, just in case for reference. 3DS sales being unknown publicly for last month makes this not as terrible for predictions, as it could be. Since I do know 3DS sales for last month, I will not be changing my prediction that's already out there, and I ask anyone else that does know 3DS sales for last month and has already predicted to refrain from changing your 3DS prediction, as well. PS4 being #1 shouldn't be change too many current predictions, though, so that shouldn't be a big deal.

For future months, looks like we're back to treating the second Tuesday after the reporting period end as the cutoff for predictions. We'll just have to wait longer to get results. For this month, I'll leave predictions open until next Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT or whenever the first actual numbers start becoming known. Whichever is first. Therefore if you were holding off on making predictions until closer to the deadline, you probably want to go ahead and just predict for June's period.
