Damn people are talking about GOTYs already? It's too soo y'all! So many good games left to come out this year.

Deus Ex was awesome and is probably on my list though.

And yet you deny the existence of Deus Ex: The Fall.

In all seriousness I liked Deus Ex The Fall!

Saw Steam downloaded a patch for No Man's Sky, decided to see how it performed now.
Didn't seem to stutter really but the fps were going up and down, making it feel very jerky. Activated the fps counter and the game would drop to 30fps when I was looking at a large expanse of nothing. Deleted the game because I just don't believe it'll ever perform in a way I'd find acceptable.

I'll keep listening to this and pretend No Man's Sky was a music album only.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
FUCK I tHink there was 1 DH game I didnt own

jim sterling ruins everything

I looked earlier and I only owned 3-4 of them (from bundles) but just couldn't bring myself to spend money on them. The "mega pack" or whatever was $3 and I still couldn't do it.

I guess the collector in me really has died

I've only played like 3-4 games that released in 2016 on steam, not sure I should even vote.

Played lots of good older games this year though. Watch me play all those other games from your goty lists 3 years from now.

I got most of them from gleam.io

do we know that they were removed by volvo? because the DH guys having a hissy fit and just pulling their games is entirely plausible too

Well now that Virtua Fighter and Bayonetta are on backwards compatibility, how about putting them on an infinitely forwards compatible system next?

Sega pls

Oh. That means Killing Floor 2 will be eligible this year.
RIP Witness. RIP Jonathan Blow.

for a moment i thought u meant the rules somehow disqualified the witness

phew

honestly this joystick thing has made me realized how hard i've fallen on overwatch

i thought that game was gonna be like top 3 for sure and now it's sitting at the bottom of my list

You know, if no one told me Dark Souls 3 released this year I'd probably forget. The broken poise thing (as in, it being a broken mechanic by design) and the shortsightedness of the new covenants (gank city either way) overall soured me on it a lot.

DS2 remains king in my eyes.

The oft-times unbearable teamplay makes Overwatch a solid "fill up the back half of my list" game. Like, it has high highs and even lower lows which over time drag it down a lot.

Meanwhile, Stellaris and Divinity: Original Sin 2 can only ascend into the heavens themselves--every update makes them better.

Though I kinda wish CK2: Reaper's Due could chart. For such a seemingly small addition, it adds a huge amount of flavour, fun, and function to the game (the critical 3 F's of game design). I'd put it near the top of my "recommended CK2 expansions list" if I ever made one.

yeah it's bizarre how little i've cared for dark souls 3 as a whole thing, something about it never captured me the way demons, 1 and 2 did, maybe it was just series exhaustion or maybe it was the story stuff being really weak but i'm just so sadly disappointed with it

it's not that i had super high expectations for it but i think i expected it to be able to wow me again and after 3 games it just felt so predictable

i feel overwatch became less fun for me as it became a serious game with a real meta and shit. i liked it as a fun dumb thing i'd play while league would be my serious game, but now this game is really serious too and i really don't like what serious overwatch feels like and i don't like having to play mercy every game cos people are never gonna pick her so eh, i dropped off very hard fairly quick

stellaris i just didn't like, i'm not sure if it was fault of the game or the genre just not being my kind of thing but i just felt like nothing interesting was ever going on and that i was so limited in what i could do

divinity i haven't played cos idk if i should play the beta or not but i bet it's awesome

my goty so far is handidly going to the witness
