Someone will always get screwed. Nothing ever happens 100% perfect. The vast majority however don't get screwed though and the general normal time frame for shipping for Best Buy and Amazon for release date delivery is 1 to 2 days before release. Certainly there are factors involved such as stock availability, location from the shipping center, etc, but shipping times are pretty predictable these days for the most part. It's not hard for a company to time the day of arrival with the corresponding shipping method.

No, but it leaves zero room for error. Last year I had a preorder delayed because the expiration date on my card changed between order and shipment. Wouldn't have been a big deal if they attempted shipment 2 days before. Instead this was the night before that they attempted to charge to ship.

This year as I said on two occasions there was just some sort of delay in either processing at a local facility or transfer from that facility. If they had shipped a day earlier it would have been fine.

That seems more on you than them though since you could have called ahead of time with the new expiration date. New credit cards always tell you to update your info at all the places you have regular transactions at. Shipping earlier could be more problematic because of breaking street date so these things have to be timed right. If they start shipping where a significant number break street date, there could be a lot of consequences.

Almost done making my quick guide for people that will come over to try the PS VR.

I'm really proud of what I did. XD Color printed and it tranparent protectors, they should last a bit. Will just have to update it whenever I get something new I guess.

Also, was gaf attacked or something? I thought it was on my side at home, but I'm getting adware stuff at work too when I click on posts and the reply buttons.

Do you want to wait another 4-5 years or not? Or do you plan on getting second wave of PC VR, which should come faster than PS VR 2 if there's ever such a thing.

Wow, you're really going above and beyond.

I have to admit, aside from the curiosity of my wife, I'm not going out of my way to introduce my friends to VR. When they come over, I'll let them give it a try, but I'm far from being evangelistic about it. I'm a lousy early adopter that way.

Obviously you're right, it does. But sex in video games in America is the big problem. I guess it's because of that whole "But it's interactive" argument, but for whatever reason, it is a FAR bigger deal in the game space than it is in film, television, fiction, comics and other traditional media.

I mean, DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball is not getting localized because of "cultural differences," and that doesn't even actual nudity in it, but it's still enough to be controversial.

i dont know really. do you know if the launch bundles are going be something they will offer outside of the launch? or the one i have preordered is my only chance to get one.

Like I said, that was one instances last year, it happened twice this year.

Can't decide if I want to get Eve Valkyrie or Rigs. Rigs is cheaper at £38, Eve is £49.99 which feels a little ridiculous for some reason. And with them both being mainly multiplayer shooters I don't know if either will be worth that price.

Do they both have demos by any chance? That way I can just order them for next day on Thursday.

They will have demos on the demo disc, which you can also download off the PSN right now.

I'm not sure really. I'd think they'd have it for a while. At least until demand subsist. Worse case I'd see them stop bundling PS VR world. Which isn't much of a loss.

I made a table. With Image, Title/type, Description and comfort level (includes control types) as headers. It looks really good.

I'm gonna color print them and put them in protectors, then probably put them in a binder or something. Even made a French translation of it.

A question for anyone that might know, or perhaps has a unit already. The FAQ stated that you can broadcast and record footage while playing, but that it will show what the Social screen.

Does that mean, for example, if I'm playing Keep Talking and Nobody Dies, will the recorded footage not show my disarming the bomb, and instead show the footage of documentation that the other player is supposed to be reading from the screen?

A follow-up to that, does anyone know if Share Play works with PSVR? I'd love to share play my experiences with a buddy who is somewhat on the fence. The giant FAQ actually didn't address share play at all, so I wasn't sure if it was possible or not.

That's really cool.

I am doing something similar except it is for the Halloween party that is happening at my office. I am going to setup the PSVR there and have people run through either Until Dawn or Here They Lie for their Halloween "treat". Should be fun.

KTND shows the recorded footage of the social screen if you record it.

Also, yes. You can share play. They'll see the social screen.

Quoting myself from the PSVR Review thread. I'm just guessing here, but would love to hear other people's opinion on this.

I think the stream shows a non-unwarped view of the game, the image of one eye before it's being sent to the PU. You can see it quite good here at around the 2 minute mark. Also makes sense, it would not be very practical to send the unwarped image back to the PS4 from the processing unit, I don't think there would be enough bandwidth to do this.

Thanks for the responses! That's actually really cool for KTND if I want to have a buddy play with me from his house. It would be very one-sided as he wouldn't be the one disarming ever, but cool that the option is there.

Don't think that'd work well with stream lag... was what I was going to say..

Then I remembered you said you were talking about Share Play.

Edit: All done with my quick guide, both English\French versions.

I tried making a simple transfer to google doc, but it won't make the images carry over.

Also, it's a personal list, so some of the games are listed as demos.

But I'll probably take pictures of the final result tonight when I get home from work.

Edit: Here's a rough upload from docx to google drive. It broke a bit in the transition. But you can get an idea if you want to make your own. :)

Edit 3: I may have gotten it wrong on some of the comfort level / controller support column too. comfort level is my own guess/assessment.

ordered at Media Markt ( Germany) and it`s supposed to be here tomorrow . Have to work till 8p.m

Copy of Batman is here. Box says it's around 9 GBs. Now to continually refresh Amazon to see when my headset and RIGS/DC/Battlezone will ship.

YES. Sony's latest trailer for Super Stardust VR says that you can play old modes in VR, not just the new FPS version. Really pleased.

Looking at the catalog page on the PS Store. It's so hard to narrow down the digital games I want! Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is day one but it isn't on the store yet...
