Before I learned the real reason, I always thought it was just the personal preference of the ranger since pink wore a skirt and yellow didn't, which I thought was really cool.

IIRC the reason why they put them in cards and not outright destroy the monsters this season was to avoid this in the first place
It's hard to ignore when they have a giant 1 on the red uniform.

Bridge's actor (Green ranger) held a campaign to do a fan-made SPD sequel a few years back. It didn't get the funding it needed, but it would've had the core five back without their ranger suits (because it's not official).

Nah that was Wild Force.
Taylor was the leader as the Yellow Ranger and she even wrote their Ranger Handbook. Then Cole joins and they straight up say he's leader now because he's the Red Ranger even though he's got no experience and even though Taylor was leading 1 year before the series started.

The Japanese version was pretty much Law and Order, all the way to the 70s/80s style soundtrack. Completely serialized.

Man, this being my first introduction to the series, I'm already kind of sad that campaign failed. This is only the 2nd episode, but I'm loving it so far.
I'll always remember the chat comments. One dude said that the sword he used to stab his roommate is a replica of the sword they used to defeat the Orgs in Wild Force.

The lack of a fantasy narrative and gritty realism of SPD is what endears me to it. Power Ranger as a job is much cooler than it sounds
