A "Make America Great Again" march in support of President Trump drew about 2,000 people to Bolsa Chica State Beach, including protesters.

At one point, a fight broke out and a protester pepper sprayed several marchers, including the organizer. Three people were arrested.

Earlier in the day, march organizers said they were hoping for peace.

"I'm not just here in support of Trump, but our vets, military, police officers and emergency responders,” said Darlene Savord of Tustin, one of the organizers.

There was a counter-protest and fights broke out:

One of the organizers of the rally got hit with pepper spray:

See that someone already broke out a "Keep America Great" sign. Can't believe Trump managed to make America great again after only 2 months.

This type of rally might fly inland, in the more "country" areas of California, but even in "Republican" areas on the coast, they're going to run into trouble.

California is truly multi-cultural and proud of it, especially Southern California.

Huntington Beach? Yup that and Costa Mesa are about the only place I can think of where a pro Trump rally would be the safest space possible for them.

What is the center right image at the bottom?

The one in between the Arabic and Sickle and Hammer?

Looks like a needle?

I can't figure out what the one on the far left is either.

Anti-vax plus anti-legalized marijuana, I'm guessing, or else just a general "no drugs from bad hombres" sentiment. I can't make out what the thing on the far left is.

Wait, the OC is a republican place? That's kinda disappointing.

Orange County is notoriously hard for Democrats to win. It's got a very high income population that votes with consistency, and also a lot of white people. It's basically concentrated "Lower Taxes for the Rich" territory. They had a whole story arc in the West Wing with Sam running for a House seat in Orange County.

shouldnt she have someone that she can at least entrust the bullhorn to? She has to have a death grip on it, even while she's blind and in pain.

Wait, the OC is a republican place? That's kinda disappointing.

I was never surprised by this and always thought it was typical. I mean, how is OC portrayed in the media that would indicate otherwise?
