Please tell me how communists, anarchists, and socialists aren't heavily involved in these protests and literally putting their bodies on the line standing up to fascists. Unless you think only peaceful protests are valid, in which case we've all been talking about that subject in other threads for the past two days.

Or just say something about "but the USSR!" and ignore context. It won't matter because I already hate Stalin more than you and whatever you bring up I probably already agree with.

Your position doesn't make any sense. Do you think "free speech" is some nebulous bubble where your preferred version of it faces no opposition whatsoever? A counter-protest is free speech at work. Do you think any protest without a government permit is invalid? Should they all be rounded up into caged "free speech zones"?

What exactly are you trying to argue besides "leave the Nazis alone!"?

Counter-protesting with words of course is great. I would defend their right as well. Using violence to stop others from speaking is wrong.

Pretty sure Nazis failed because they got blown the fuck up while Communists failed because the Soviet Union had a rickety central planning system.

Communists are willing to critique themselves, fascists aren't. The USSR is only held in high regard by tankies. Nazis worship Hitler.
