I don't understand how people do OTP extensively, for me the fun of the game is using all of the characters, but well if that is fun for you 
Yesterday night I played two soloqueue games on PS4 and I figured, I should give a chance to team speak :
First game : an angry French shouting in his mic, insults and whatever. At first it was funny but then sad. I mean why playing soloqueue if you know you're going to get that frustrated ?
Second game : a bunch of teenagers I think who were nice but it was quite exhausting because they were talking non stop.
I hope I can level up so I can play with people who actually speak well on team speak. Until then I'll stay with friends.

Mercy's in groups who only heal their group mates, even if it just a 2 or 3 stack...
6 stack is generally a bad idea. The game will put you up against people who are at much higher ranks than you who are either solo or duo quening. You might not see much of this though until you hit 3300-3500+. I've played so many games against 6 stacks of diamonds and low masters as a top 500 rank while playing solo and get like 25+ SR out of it too. The game assumes since you're in a premade group that this will be a fair game.

We had a random on our team last night who had the same history for Tracer. Enemy team picked Winston and Rein on Nepal KOTH. Enemy Winston shut her down, even when she was trying to get behind them.
What do you do against a better than average Zarya/Symmetra? In Season 3, I played the hell out of her and used to love shutting D.Va's down. I'm not sure if "maining" a single character is the best way to go in this game but if it's working for you....

Even a good Symmetra isn't too much of a problem for me. The only reliable counter against a good D.Va is Zarya, and I just fly away from her when I'm alone, only facing her head-on if she's weak or if my teammates are around. I'm so good with D.Va that I can use her effectively for any situation that doesn't require a healer.
Cool, 4 is the way to go. Lemme know if you wanna climb some more this week.

Depending on needs.
Like I have a 39% win rate with soldier this season and I don't understand why.... Statistically speaking I'm above average lol and I feel like I contribute enough.
That's why I've been playing more Reinhardt because maybe dps just isn't my thing and I've had more success that's for sure...

Sometimes I can do the best as DPS (killing like crazy and not dying much) but still lose the game because if the rest of the team can't hold their weight, it'll still be a loss. I'm assuming you had some bad teammates?
Yes that's why sometimes I consider getting a VPN so I can play on US region my experiences in Europe region solo Qing have been disastrous(nd knows what I mean) that's why if I group with you guys and it puts us on Europe server I know we will win because plat/diamond us players seem to be much better than Europe....
I know it's easy to blame teammates but yeah.

The production on this DOTA tournament is crazy good. Butter smooth high FPS with over 100k viewers.
I'd really like to see something of this caliber for Overwatch. The one aired on cable TV wasn't too bad; this one is super professional.

Yea, I don't like blaming teammates in solo Q a lot but sometimes even then, you'll see people just dying over and over or trickling in and you just wanna give up.
Chatrooms for tourneys are almost always trash.
Fair enough, guess it's working for you! Might get difficult the closer you get to Masters but fair play for getting to diamond using D.Va 99.9% of the time.

Just a question, but do ever feel like playing something else? I have a few friends that play that focus on their main and have barely touched the other characters and I suppose most of us gravity to 2-3 picks.
Me on the other hand I play anything and everything but I'm also super casual when it comes to the game so that might be a big reason behind it. But I also want to experience the characters and really enjoy pretty much all of them to be honest!
Do you ever feel like playing one of the other characters? Or do you feel like you are missing out by just by playing D.va?
Sorry this isn't a dig at your play style or anything I'm just curious as I'm totally the opposite!

played 1 comp yesterday. there was a 3g and one guy decided to not have push to talk on and all i hear is typing and coughing. and what's worst is the group didn't speak english. couldn't tell if it was japanese or korean when they mumbled.
it was bad enough when one of them picked junkrat. the other team had a pharmercy. one of the group picked soldier. idk what his priority was or he just can't aim. i discorded pharah to help him out but he didn't do shit.

I can understand gravitating towards a certain hero more than the others (I'm that way with Roadhog). But don't you ever get the desire to even try one of the other heroes?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Usually, when I play with a friend which is in 1200 - 1300 in SR, we usually lose. Usually, because the other players don't talk or do stupid moves that cost us the game or never change heroes for adapt to the enemy team. Meanwhile, if I play competitive alone (I'm in 2000s but yesterday losing streak sent me to 1900s) my teammates talk and actually do something.
I assume my friend MMR is kinda fucked and that is why we get awful teammates while playing in competitive. Is that right?

Yes, it tries to match you up with similar MMR within the SR range, iirc.
My luck has been awful so far. Like more than 20 boxes while playing, only have got Torjborn and Bastion skins. Usually Im getting repeated items. Not even coins, duplicate items.
Had this happen a few weeks ago where we were on Attack in Gilbraltar and we were pushing Payload pretty fast and someone on enemy team quit before right before we reached first CP and it canceled the match. I mean, if we pushed it that far, it was dumb to cancel the match like that.

ever since DVa's nerf, I just pick tracer and laugh at her. Maybe on console its different, but on PC tracer versus DVa is so fucking lopsided

Every time I get close to career/season high the game teams me with the most useless players, or throwers.
Hero specific winrates tend to be a bit misleading and difficult to draw conclusions from.
Who even gets the win/loss when you play 2+ different heroes? Surely it shouldn't be all of them so I guess the one you played the most. But then again some other hero you played may have been much more integral to the outcome of the match. So the whole idea of tracking wins per hero is flawed when you can change heroes mid-game.
On top of being somewhat pointless, the winrates also seem to be all kinds of bugged, at least on a lot of the stat tracking websites. People are constantly complaining about how they won 2 games and lost 1 but websites are reporting losses for 3 heroes and a win for 1 or something along those lines. I haven't really been following this recently though, so these issues may have been ironed out.
I don't know about you, but for me Soldier is often a last-ditch effort in a losing fight. Whatever I'm doing isn't working so I pick the one hero I think I can do the most heavy lifting as. This is bound to affect my Soldier winrate negatively since it's not that common to actually turn a losing fight like that into a win.

This is the most bullshit thing in Overwatch. You kinda have to be careful about playing too well in the beginning of a match because of this oversight.

It's dumb. I can understand the reasoning, if someone quits in the first few seconds of a match, so no reason everyone should be punished for that, but if it's at the point where we make significant progress on the objective or killed most of the team (we killed atleast 3 or 4 of them before he quit), then the match should be considered to have officially begun regardless of time lapsed.
And guess what happened next game? Because I immediately searched again, so Hanamura again with some of the same dudes. We're attacking again, and it goes pretty well. We capture the first point then get to 87.7% on the second.
But this one dude was salty that we didn't kill Symmetra fast enough to capture the point entirely. I think he was Tracer, but not sure. Also, if he's the same guy, he was slightly toxic to another player before the round started, because they took tracer, and rather than simply ask politely, he basically ordered another guy to go Soldier since he "Kicked his ass at tracer last round." The other guy did it, so I didn't say anything, but what an asshole.
Anyway, he was pissed off enough that even though we made huge progress on attack, he said how he was about to quit because we didn't kill Symmetra for him fast enough and just started ranting about how Blizzard sucked and it's their fault if one player (by which he meant the guy who wouldn't kill tracer for him) ruins the whole game for the other 5 people, then so be it, he'll quit out. I tried to be as civil as possible in explaining to him that if he quit when we had such a lead, it'd be him that would be ruining the game for others. He stayed and we won, but jesus, we need that avoid player option back asap.
