The blue shell bullshit in Grand Prix is fucking endless. Two races in a row I get fucked by a blue shell right at the end. I thought this garbage was supposed to be better in 8?

I feel like it's more common in Deluxe than vanilla, I've had one in all my races so far which isn't always the case on Wii U. Likely down to the double items I suspect

This game is a blast. Online is insane, such fun, just accept the madness, no salt needed.

Keep getting connection errors after 1 or 2 races.

I'm having such a blast.

Nintendo need to put one game per month like this. First Zelda, now Mario. Next should be Bayonetta 2, then arms and Splatoon.

Man... My last Mario Kart was 64. Didn't remember being so fun and rewarding. Played with a friend and it was awesome.

Sadly, pressing B is annoying as fuck for long periods. Guess I'll stick with the auto accelerate.

Oh my god this is so good on Switch - the rumble's fantastic! Played a Grand Prix and a couple of online races, it's every bit as fun as I remember it being.

Looking forward to the GAF races :p

This game is seriously amazing. It looks so good on handheld and looks even better on my TV. Had a blast with my two sons before I left for work this morning. My 3-year-old sure appreciates the auto-gas and steering assist

Y also works for accelerate. Much more comfortable imo.

Hopefully they step up to the plate with this like they did with the same issue with GoW 4 Ultimate Edition pre-orders.

They sent out a mass pre-order email giving those who aren't getting their game on time a digital code for it. Crossing fingers.

Just wanted some clarification on a quick question. According to the picture in the OP you can't play two-player online with a pro controller -and- the joy cons in a grip? It has to be two pro controllers or two single joy cons? If so I have to run out for another pro controller for the wife and I.

I would assume double item makes that worse, because people can have one in reserve.

Man I'm still really bummed at the lack of elimination balloon battle, the points system just doesn't have the same tension...

Had fun on Renegade Roundup though, it's rather chaotic!

Welp, I wasn't planning on getting this right away as I have it for Wii U and didn't really care about battle mode, but my brother just gifted me funds for a copy. :)

Now I'm debating whether or not to get digital.

Only played the first cup and a few time trials this morning. This looks and feels so good. It also felt like I'm right back in the game, although I haven't played an MK in over 3 years. You can probably go from MKWii or even MK64 to this and feel at home immediately.

Can't wait to get back to it after work. I hope my shitty wifi signal is sufficient for online racing...

I've really liked the very little I've played of Renegade Roundup as well. First time I played "The Law"and did terribly and the second time I got to "avoid the law" and I had a fucking blast. So far I prefer avoiding the law haha

Please don't take my word for it, but I'm pretty sure you can do the setup you've described. One player using two joycons and the other with a pro. I haven't tried it myself but I'm pretty sure it's doable.

I didn't really look too hard in between the few races I tried at midnight last night, but are the options hidden somewhere?

Would love to set up smart steering for my 6 year old so she doesn't get frustrated and give up halfway through a race.

When choosing your Kart, press +/-. Smart Steering is L, Auto Accelerate is R

Smart steering is on by default. You can turn it off and on by hitting L on the kart select and pause screens.

Just got off chat with Amazon and I got offered a free month of Prime. I've had many release day delivery games show up late over the last year. I'm done with them for games on principal. I'm sending it back and only buying games from BestBuy with GCU for now on. Always get games on time from them, and even early sometimes.

Even though i played the Wii U version a lot, the Switch portability, better resolution and modes like battle mode is worth buying again !
