Overwatch |OT10| That'll do pig, that'll do

We haven't seen too much for what Torbjorn has been up to, and having a map centered around his home in Gothenburg would be a cool setting.

There's also Junkertown, but I'm sure most players want that location as an Escort Map.

If we get a Junkertown map and it's not a main game mode map, I'm going to write a bunch of nasty e-mails to Blizzard.

I don't hate anyone here. Tell that to the guy who likes to come in to direct his ire at me in every post. I don't even know him.

LOL, Destiny thread? I don't even remember you. Been holding a grudge for that long? That explains a lot.

Um, why don't you get a custom chat from zeta boards or discord? This is like the only way I can convey this message to you: you are flooding the thread and burying posts, which alienates the new posters and old ones/your friends. I don't get why you assume you and your friends are innocent and I am bullying you here.

"oh Owzers your Rein could have been more whatever" Dude no one cares. Start a PS4 party chat or something. That is not something the other users care about. There are custom servers and chats designed for such conversations.

I just wanted to point that out. Whether you like it or not, I don't care; it is not bullying or trolling. It is my honest view of the state of this thread.

You'd think that when there are only 3 people in an elimination round, people would understand grouping up and staying together and working as a team.

You'd think.

4-1. Great games with PS4 squad. Oasis seems to be one of those maps we still need to work on.

Dude. Other Gaffers here post the same things. I see others here engaging about their matches with others here so what's the difference? We're not always in PS4 chat. FYI, I do message them when we're actually playing. This is a COMMUNITY thread and people can post whatever they want about the game and their matches. If it bothers you so much, put me on ignore. I didn't post all day today and yet you feel I'm flooding the thread? There are other Gaffers here who have been posting more often about their experiences and I welcome that. If you don't care about the convo then maybe you should ignore it and engage with posts that you care about.

Then there's that bit about Junkrat's "treasure", so an escort map that covers most of Junkertown (and Junkrat's treasure vault that contains all of their goodies he and Roadhog accumulated over the months from their crime sprees) would be a missed opportunity on a smaller map.

This is such a weird "argument". What proof do you have that Lik's conduct is detrimental to this thread? They seem very willing to play with lots of players here and welcoming to new members. I may not post here as much as others but I am here several times of the day, I'm failing to see the reason why those things are problematic for the thread.

Yeah, he really lost me. I don't fully understand what point he's trying to make.

GGs today, that was a ton of fun.

Ended up losing 50SR in the numbani game because of a dc but atleast it was at the beginning so the match got cancelled. It was pretty bad already on horizon with people teleporting all over the place.

Edit: I guess it's PSN related, can't get into nothing but my net is working fine.

You gotta stop with these words

Most of y'all already drew everyone not on ps4 out but this gotta stop before everyone is gone

We all know it was mostly Owzers fault because he mains everyone. That makes people feel intimidated.

"oh Owzers your Rein could have been more whatever" Dude no one cares.

Told you guys, he's at the center of everything.

I've only been around since OT9 but I've read all of that thread and all of this one and I don't agree that anyone here floods the thread. Some people post more than others, which is fine.

This whole berating the "blog squad" thing comes off as really defensive and childish. If anyone here was spamming posts or being annoying I'd complain too. I like reading everyone's experiences with the game- good, bad, and mundane. Blog squad blog on.

I'm just gonna echo this. This is the first game thread on GAF where I felt like I'm actually a part of the GAF community. Every other game thread I post in for a little while, but then move on when I'm done playing the game. I'm not a part of PopGAF or SportsGAF or PoliGAF or pretty much any other GAF - but I still feel like I've become some part of a community in this thread.

It sucks if people feel like they've been driven out, but I feel like it's an actual community here. Complete with random arguments between people.

EDIT: Also in that spirit, anyone who is on PS4 and wants to add me on PSN feel free - currently at high 2500 SR. The main stack fills up pretty quickly some nights, especially during events, so I'm usually around solo queueing when that happens and am totally down for grouping up.

It's still worth saying, atleast for healers, because looking at the killfeed means you gotta take your eyes off whats happening onscreen, which could be inconvenient if you're in the middle of a fight. Letting the entire team know that a Mercy is down is important.

Yep, I always call out, "no heals" if I die as the solo healer.
I need to actually look at the kill feed more. I glance at it, but I only notice colored boxes, I rarely notice who actually died. So basically I only use it to keep a "one up... two down..." etc tally in my head.

I think what drove people away was the elitist attitude from a small minority (because majority of the PC crowd are good people). I never bothered to comment but it just seemed that no ones opinion was right except their own. If you play on console apparently you aren't entitled to an opinion. Funny things is, many people on console have made the jump to PC and actually ranked higher than what they were on console, plenty of former console players here in Master / GM range on PC.

I know what you mean. Can't count how many times I see Junkrat on offense spamming the point from afar when the rest of the team is trying to cap.

We were defending 1st point Anubis, the enemy team went past the first choke going for the point but our Junkrat was way too happy just spamming the entrance with no one there. I was playing Rein right near him and said on chat "let's go to the point junk"... he didn't care lol

We also had a D.Va that though it was a good idea to be on top of the payload in Gibraltar defense right at the start. She was out of mech immediately, and did the same process 3 times in a row by herself until we finally lost.

I would assume that people around diamond rank were already past this point.

Look man, it's obviously at least part of your schtick is to be an elitist troll, and I actually have no problem with that, because you know your shit about Overwatch, and I've known- and genuinely liked- more than a few elitist trolls in my many years on message boards.

But I can't understand where you're coming from with the "LiK drives new people away" thing. He's willing to play with anyone who asks, he responds when people ask him questions, and he seems to be a strong part of the "community" on a "community" board.

So help me here, why can't we discuss whatever we want OW-related on the OW Community board? And why do you openly go after a person who is welcoming to everyone, regardless of SR or platform? I am seriously at a loss here.

Kind of why I don't get the complaints

he's SO easy to hit and he's SO predictable. its not like tracer and her tiny hitbox and 3 charges of blink or genji and his double jump/wall climb. he's got 3 cds that aren't changeable in distance and his hitbox is huge

The video is about the hitbox of Rocket Punch.

There it is. What happened at the 0:25 mark was like my experience at Eichenwalde.

They have to nerf this asap

See the video :p

Dat Eichenwalde match was ridiculous. I think that's the first time I've ever had a 7-6 for a win. Intense.

Probably the most intense match I've experienced. Really good stuff.

I should have quit while I was ahead. Won 2 games in solo queue competitive tonight, got to a season high, that should have been more than enough. But decided to push it with one more round before I signed off.

Had the absolute worst competitive match I've ever had. Duo stack instalocked DPS and went 76/Junkrat on Volskaya Defense. Rest of team was a regular comp except for a Mercy who switched to Symmetra at the last second and therefore didn't get any turrets up. Not a single kill by anyone and the entire team gets wiped in one shot on point A. We group up for point B...except for the 76 and Junkrat who charge out by themselves with no backup and nearly get killed, only serving as ult batteries to the other team, who then proceed to come in and team wipe us again with nobody on our team getting a single kill on point B again.

Attack was just horrendous, with the duo-queue instalocking Hanzo/Junkrat and proceeding to not get any kills AGAIN. On top of that, the enemy Genji just stood at the front door and reflected and our Reinhardt just stood there with his shield up instead of punishing him - it should have been an easy pick but the Genji was able to run away because I was the only person trying to attack him. Got one elimination the entire round because the team never grouped up and just staggered in the entire 4 minutes.

It's a miracle I only lost 25 SR in that POS match.

I need some help from the Zen players out there:

The last few weeks I've been unable to find my (literal) comfort zone as Zen. That sweet spot between being to far out- and getting ganked by flankers- and being too close to the team and dying from ults and splash damage, I just can't find it any longer.

It's making every game very intense and me very paranoid.

I'm not really sure what to do here- I have not been able to get properly warmed-up in QP because of it, and so don't play any Comp anymore.

Any ideas on what I can do? I'd hate to have to go Lucio all the time, and I won't play Mercy (ugh) or Ana (can't aim).

You're on PS4 right? What's your current sensitivity? I use 69/69 on him. Your best bet is to always be next to someone who can protect you like a tank or stay further back while keeping an eye on flankers. I try to stay outta the frontlines unless my team is getting overwhelmed.

I actually like to warm up in the Practice Range with Zen.

If anyone feels driven out because of, what, LiK posting a bunch? That's their problem. I actually think the thread has gotten more chill in the past few months if anything.

Okay, I understand the gauntlet's hitbox needs to have some give to make it possible to land hits in a fast paced first person shooter, as even regular melee attacks do in Overwatch. I get that.

But this is just way too much. It should be less than half a person length horizontally and the vertical hitbox should be much tighter, in order to allow people to actually avoid it with jumps and escape abilities.

My sensitivity is set very low. 25/15 I think. Maybe I'll try bumping it up. Gonna be jittery as hell healing, but it'll be nice to be able to keep up with the Genjis and Tracers.

Hm, yea, seems low. The main reason you wanna up the sensitivity is to fend off against the flankers by being able to aim faster. They're quite a nuisance. Might take some getting used to. I usually suggest you do them in increments before each match so you get used it more gradually.

OH HEY! Are you me?
I can kill Tracers usually, but I struggle with Genji because of all the jumping.
I watched a video from Overwatch Central interviewing Boombox who is a top Zen player last night, I found his tips useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCttIv34C1E
I'm no where near GM, so I usually try to stay close to a tank if I know I'm going to get dived on. If my tank can simply visually hide me from the enemy coming head on, I can use the discord orb or just the discord lock diamond reticle place my shots.

I still haven't decided what my second golden weapon will be...it has to be either D.Va, Lucio, or Zen as they're the ones I play the most in competitive.

I'm going to get Mei's golden gun, as I already got Zarya's and Lucio's.

I want to play Mei more in competitive, but let's just say people are "unhappy" when I pick a off-meta character.

But if you have the golden gun...they'll just assume you're really good with Mei and let you play as her without griefing, right?

That's how it works, right?

...right?

I'll give it a try. Do you bump it up 10 at time? More? Less?
And thanks for the response, I need to do something, anything.
