Wil Myers stole 2nd 3rd and home in the same inning. Only Dee Gordon and Werth have done that this century.

Clayton Richard also pitched a shutout and the Pads swept the Phils.

We are truly in the upside down.

Just when you imagined the New York Mess could not sink any lower, they played catcher Travis D'Arnaud at third base and second base, switching him back and forth with Asbrooble Candura.

From the New York Mess' Web site:

"All told, d'Arnaud and Cabrera switched positions 22 times, resulting in a box score smeared with ink. The official scoring read: 3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B-2B-3B, like some overcaffeinated Abbott and Costello skit."

he's just salty cuz the cubs are looking like yesterday's news..

i considered posting a gif of the cubs giving kershaw whiplash in the nlcs, but let's just say im happy finally being a fan of the team that actually just won it all instead of the team who still has to do it.

i was being serious though, i want the dodgers to be as villainy as possible (not that there's really anything overly villainy about them). it makes everything more fun for everyone else, and then if the dodgers actually win it all, it will make it that much sweeter for them knowing that everyone was rooting against them.

Meh, it worked. It kept the ball away from d'Arnaud.

Listened to Vin for 30 years. Dude is the Goat no doubt about it, but Joe Davis has somehow made me not miss him. Dude is legit good and will be replacing Buck in both football and baseball soon. He's the next guy.

I like Joe but I wish he didn't have such a generic voice. Whoever he is paired with are complete homers though... Orel especially.

I want mah Vin back.

That's not the point.

Terry Collins shouldn't have to use a catcher at third or second base. At some point Collins should have told Sandy Alderson the team needs a starting third baseman.

It's as if Collins is already on the beach at Puerto Vallarta.

Both Reyes and Flores were late scratches.

I've just been listening on radio thus far, but it sounds like Wainwright really shouldn't have been out there.

Is there any more boring a broadcast team than Astro TV? Watched a half inning and it feels like it's been an hour.

Royals radio is a suitable ambien substitute.

Wainwright is pretty clearly hurt. Hasn't thrown a pitch faster than like ~86 in both this start and last.

But Matheny ran Rosenthal out there last night even though he knew his elbow was hurting, so no surprise he'll keep running Wainwright out there.

Fuck Mike Matheny.
