If this is really the day one edition then stores will only carry this for a while... , I doubt they’ll do separate SKUs.

They did with the X One, in EU at least you had a FIFA 14 pack with the "day one" controller and a "day one blabla" achievement, and a Forza 5 SKU with no "day one" controller (just a normal one) and no achievement.

Yes, but you have to get the connector that allows the Kinect to be plugged in via a USB port on the back of the console.

REALLY hope MS gives these out free, "for a limited time", to those of us upgrading from an OF x1 with kinect like they did when the s launches.

Kinect was a bust, but I still use it frequently for voice commands and Skype (not to mention, it would be nice to have for the few kinect games I own)

Whats not boring about the way it looks? Its a boring black slab with nothing that stands out. The S is a much better looking console.

The One S is probably the best looking console this generation so kinda hard to top. That being said I want to see some better shots of the Scorpio edition as that one has the textured top so it might be a wash between the two at the end. Plus it's smaller.

I think both look great I just mainly prefer the disc drive being on the larger top portion rather than getting pushed down to the smaller base. Just seems a tad more front and center. Maybe pushing it down was a conscious decision to make it even cleaner and more simple.
