This is more entertaining than I assumed it would be. Karintendo is pretty amusing, but I assume it will just turn into a harem with Chiaki soon enough.

its only redeeming quality is the sad reminder that KyoAni could make a sweet harry potter anime but they would rather make general crap.

Let's not forget about the tasteful Mexican restaurant featured for a change—in imitation of Saizeriya, an Italian restaurant in actuality—as opposed to another Denny's® or Jonathan's.

I can see why people would hate the misunderstandings but none of them are so far being played for serious drama so they're mostly just hilarious even if I could see it taking a shitty drama road in the next couple of episodes.

But yoooo that last 10 minutes or so was fucking gold down to every ridiculous idea that was going through the harem's heads to Karintendo's hilariously quick acceptance of the confession in complete contrast to the shit she was thinking like one minute prior. I was legit laughing my ass off for like 10 minutes at how dumb this whole thing is.

I mean, in fairness, all of their misunderstandings are probably at least justified in that I'm pretty sure almost everyone in the dodecahedron would be down to date everyone else in the dodecahedron.

How do you know what is too much anime?

When you have to start asking yourself that it's already too late. :(

Alternative answer: When you find yourself being the single highest contributor in the entire known universe to the ever expansive Rah Xephon wikipedia entry *cough* duckroll *cough*

Man, Riko is kind of a jerk.

Anyways, this episode presents the impetus for the story and I am intrigued. The backstory behind Riko's mom was pretty good.

Bad episode. Chiaki getting pulled into harem plus utter lack of Karentendo.

On Narag's question about disabled characters and how it changed them - I don't recall if anyone else mentioned her but Ikishima from Kakegurui is one hell of an example.

Thankfully there is one next season without the garystu shit and battle shonen, but with actual world building of magic/magical creatures.

Although Harry Potter did have some great worldbuilding until it devolved into a messy power fantasy in later books with cheesy romance.

It's really hard going back to it especially when I thought it was good back then. Although it's a good guilty pleasure I guess.

So basically adolescence happened?

Somehow I've managed to mostly avoid Harry Potter until my brother started watching the movies over the past couple weeks. From what I've seen of the first few movies it does look like an interesting world.

This is stellar. The most I've laughed with an anime in a long time. A comedy of errors in the most literal sense.

The boardgame was just too fucking good.

Other than the pandering imouto, the show seems to be really earnest and seems to possess a modicum of humility and decency.

Hot take: Anyone who posts here watches too much anime. As the universal law states: Anime is trash and so am I.
Question: How can we know if we watch too much anime when no one can come up with a definitive definition of what constitutes anime? If I look too long at a heap of garbage, will I have watched too much anime?
