TEKKEN 7 |OT| How I killed your mother

I suck at ranking. Tried getting to Vindicator with Ling and gave up with a sour thumb after 1.5 hours. Bad day I guess. Had some good matches with a Kazuya player though. Too bad he left before we could complete a deathmatch.

Now that I'm wired again stream quality is a lot, lot better. You can check the archive here: http://www.twitch.tv/uchihasasuke_91/v/176022119?sr=a

Wired? Can't wait!

Today I felt like I was defending Monte Casino against an army of Eddy invaders. So, so many Eddies. Thankfully I know how to fight them so lost only twice or so.

Btw of Eddy does his double kick up(b+3,3 I guess) Kaz can punish with b+2,4 and that puts him in juggle status.

I didn't think that Kaz was as good as that Steve.

Lol at that Bryan spamming snake edge.

Is streaming on twitch considered better than posting on YT?

Edit: misread

Edit 2 well I have not seen a Law player in 2 weeks, but when I do, I'll know that a lot of his stuff is punishable with d/f+2~1.

Too bad about that Katarina. Good to know that I'm not the only person who gets smacked with a random unlockable from her. She wasn't going to rematch you, lol?

Do you ALWAYS try to rematch forever?

Yep, beginner Laws ALWAYS use the very unsafe or duckable stuff. Not afraid of those. A good Law player though? Very, very scary.

That Kat player annoyed me a little, because I knew what was coming from a mile away but I ate everything anyway 😂
I thought that player would rematch for sure.

Me rematching everyone is kind of an ego thing of me. I don't want to appear scared of losing again whenever I lose and I don't want to be the one who win quits, so I'm kind of stuck in an eternal rematch loop. As long as the connection is decent and my opponent doesn't appear to be an asshole I always try to deathmatch my opponent.

Yeah, finally! I immediately noticed how much of a difference being wired makes.

I rarely meet Eddy players. Not really good against them either.

Nah that Steve was pretty basic. As a Steve player myself, I'm kind of emarassed to have lost to him.
The Kaz player was okay. He should have been a little less obvious with his Hellsweeps though.

That Bryan player... Steve's WS launcher has a new input and I still play Steve with a TTT2 mindset. Trying to launch punish the Snake Edges was good practice to get used to the new input :p

I always stream on Twitch. Not really sure what's considered to be better or if there's any difference at all.

There's something about Katarina to wear even though you see her stuff coming, you find yourself eating it anyway. I also have this struggle. And she wasn't going to rematch you in 100 years. Got lucky with that slow motion ending.

So Deathmatch style? Is that you play the same person over and over until one of you gains or loses a rank? Or until literally one of you gets tired of playing?

And yes, it's an excruciating experience to lose against someone who plays one of your characters.

Yeah I was half joking.
I still struggle, but I'll get her someday. Or I start playing her myself :D

It depends. Some people only care for promos, demotions don't count. But yeah, you play until one of you gets a promotion.

Fighting your own character is hard for several reasons, and losing feels like something you shouldn't do. It's your character, right? You should know how to deal with that stuff. But it's more of a psychological thing.

So much this.

Fighting Pauls is a nightmare for me if I'm not using Paul myself. I'm getting killed by my own tricks and I don't know why, it's embarrassing.

It's something about what expectations you have, i think.

You expect them to do certain things at certain ranges, because that's what you would do.

And then some weird nonsense comes out and you're like whaaaaaat and you die.

Yeah, this is true. It's like I'm concentrating on opponents character too much and leaving my own on a side plane, forgetting how to fight in the process.

Is the patch up on PS4?

I generally don't like huge block stun of rage drives, you always have to guess a mixup after most of them, it's annoying. Some give so much damage or combo potential the added + million frames seems out of place.

Maybe i should try Chloe

Use her please. I need solid practice against her.

I reported a player who sent me hate msg after losing, and psn guys actually took care of it. Msg was deleted and they contacted him for breaching the psn conduct and terms.

Obviously it's not like ppl will get banned left and right but it's good to know the shittalkers can be put on notice at any time.

If someone talks shit to you, don't argue. Just highlight his msg and hit options for a report. It sends 3 last messages of you and him.

Of course you're not the only one, but seeing player names has its advantages and disadvantages. I was okay with seeing names, a friend of mine is a pro player though and he was being dodged being almost everyone. He legit had problems finding people that wanted to play with him, especially since he plays characters that people find annoying (mostly female characters).

The solution to being dodged on Steam is to log off Tekken, change your username, sign back on. When/if folks catch on, do it again.

You can always change your name back when you're done.

Good games Grayfox
You get extra patient when using Kazuya

Ggs, nice Chloe. I really can't play at this hour. Family giving me shit for playing late and I'm exhausted so can't use all the buttons anymore. We gotta play few hours earlier at the very least if I'm gonna do anything serious.

I mained her for a while. Chloe is surprisingly very fun. A very cerebral character.

I think she's like a reverse Devil Jin where people say he's perfect on paper, but in practicality doesn't quite get there, where as with Chloe she's absolutely terrible on paper but does surprisingly better than you'd expect. Does that make sense?

Indeed
I didn't even know where to start a gameplan when practicing her but in a match for the first time things flowed well
I just wish she had good punishes

2,2 is decent, just a little bit less that some 13f punishes, but I do feel it when the opponent does something -14f. I love her WS1,4 launcher, though. Get full combo off of blocking so many pesky lows.

Her 2,2 looks so weak coming from Katarina's

Did some quick testing and found: ff+2,3, 1, 2,1,1+2 S! ff+2,1 for 46 damage.

41 is the best I have for Drag right now. 52 for Miguel, 45 for Raven and 47 for Steve.

How did you get 52? Max I found was 50 using:

crouch cancel d/f+2, d/f+1, d/f+4,1 d/f+2,2 S! f,f+2,1

EDIT: 51 dmg using

crouch cancel d/f+2, d/f+1~f, d/f+1~f, 4 S! dash d/f+1, f,f+2,1

I'm just wondering how these people were chosen?

It would have been better to hold an open contest and pick the ones they liked. It would be a good way to interact with fans, kind of like how Team Ninja holds a costume contest every once in a while.
