Sony cannot afford to repeat the mistakes of the PS3.Or you could just ignore that Sony as a company is floundering compared to its former greatness and can't afford to be anything than top of the pack next gen.
I'm not looking at the current situation. That's the whole point. The ps3 is doing fine now, but how long did it take to get here? Do you honestly think Sony can afford that again?
But then I don't think that's actually synonymous with Sony needing to be #1 again.
I'm sure they want to. But a profitable second or even last-place marketshare, is better than hemorrhaging money rushing a PS4 out of the gate.
