Size of apps will increase along with the res bump, right? 2GB+ apps incoming?

It is Mr.Crapple again, shitting up a thread as usual.
Jesus I hope not, I'm getting the 16gig version or whatever the smallest one is.
Meh, I don't think he's shitting, it's true... I have alot of Apple products (iPhone, iPod, iPod, Mac Mini, iMac) and love them all, but if we're being honest, you do have to overpay for almost everything except the iPod.

If you overpaid for your iPhone and iPad, you're doing it wrong.

16 GB really will be pretty small. You only will start off with like 13.5 GB usable space.
If you have Photostream on, that will probably take up another 2 GB.
Infinity Blade already runs at a gig, without assets for double resolution, etc.
Not really. I paid roughly 400$ for my iphone 4 32Gb at launch... and I still think it's a ridiculous overcharging compared to some other smartphones. I buy it because I slightly preffer apple, but that extra $ when compared to other brands isn't justified.
As for the iPad, t'was a gift from my mom to my dad, so I have no idea.
we all are wrong then.
Still, if you prefer Apple products and are sensitive to the many little and large perfectionistic details that make the products great instead of good, then there simply is no other choice.
iPhone/iPad are priced much more competitively than the Mac line of computers. Shit, other tablet manufacturers are having a hard time undercutting the iPad. And wasn't the launch price of a 32GB iPhone 4 $299 like it has always been? I'd say that's in line with Samsung's recent offerings.

Are there any reliable rumor sources saying that MacBook airs will recieve retina displays this year or are people just pulling that out of their asses?
299? I mean, maybe over there in the US it's 299... over here in Europe it's like 900$ for a 32GB unlocked, 600$+ with contracts... the only reason I got it for 400$ is because I bought through a company AND I had a massive amount of points up for dicount. 299? Hell no, son... It'd sell 10 times as much if that was the case, over here.
I am interested to see the outcome of this.Screw that. If the iPad has either no home button or haptic feedback I want to be banned forever.
Over here in europe an unlocked no contract 32GB 4S sells for exactly 995$ and with contracts it starts at exactly 496$.
Considering the price for it in the US (which is it's country of origin) with no contract is 750$, I don't see how it's marked up in your country... or how that makes it anything but ridiculously expensive...

Are you including your VAT?
For comparison's sake, how much does a Galaxy Nexus cost unlocked without a contract?
Everything includes VAT here. It kind of freaked me out that VAT wasn't included in display prices when I went over to the US, lol. :heh:
Bah, if you guys had NHS I'd so be over there... =/
You should take out the VAT when comparing it with the US price.
This Big Mac index by Asymco basically shows what you should expect to pay with VAT/sales taxes included:

724$.
I'm hoping more than anything that a new MacBook Pro gets announced along with it. Been dying to upgrade my 2007 machine but since a new redesign is all but imminent, I've been patient...

So, that means the 750$ price includes VAT already over there...
Nope.Any chance they'll mention the new iMac also?
Could they also have a touch screen?
PLEASE show the new iMac.

OMG, the wording in the invitation reminded me about something. Something I heard at one industry conference ~1.5 years ago from one of the possible Apple suppliers. Something about haptic feedback. Oh yea, I sure need to touch that, Apple!
So I shouldnt be hyped for this, considering I bought an iPad 2 3 months ago and use it every day, right?

A lot of sites have gotten hold of the screen. It is 100% exactly the same as the iPad 2 screen except double the resolution. Maybe iPad 4 or 5 but it isn't on the 3.

The display that people have gotten a hold of doesn't include either the touchscreen sensor or the glass covering.
Seriously why is haptic feedback all of a sudden a big desire now? I swear I never heard anyone mention it before this thread.
And it isn't mentioned anywhere else on the internet and apple community except in this thread. Someone random person int this topic posted a youtube video of the tech and suddenly people for no reason started predicting it'd be in the iPad 3. It's odd.
But I mean, what else is there to do till March 7th except make up wild rumors in this thread.
It's stupid and not going to happen.
The rumor? Yes, it's stupid and not going to happen. But is the tech stupid? No way.
