Melo has a decent PG, a defensive SG Amare at PF (Though he has been booty) and Chandler.

he also has a 6th man off the bench and a great 3 pt shooter. Dude is supposed to be a first option All-Star. Switch him out for a healthy Gallo and this current Knicks team is much better off.

His team mates aren't CHip quality but he should be able to pull them into the top half of the playoff seedings. I mean, they were better without him.

You could sub tons of SFs for Melo and The Knicks would instantly become better.

Pierce, Granger, Iggy, Marion, Deng, Rudy Gay. That list shouldn't be that long if you're paying someone 100 million american dollars.

too much logic in this post, doesn't compute

Did Kobe really just say he ignored the play? lol
Why are we celebrating like we won the title?

Because this is the closest LA will get to winning a meaningful game for the rest of the year
He still has that afraid to shoot or drive because he doesn't want to be fouled.
For a point guard, that's the highest form of failure.

Proof the lakers are so much better whan it's Kobe+ one of the bigs not just kobe dribbling at the top of the key trying to hit a low percentage "hero" shot.

I was hoping Koba would keep jacking 3's like was earlier (even though he made those). When he's in that shoot mode it's usually their downfall.

Stay away from my Lisa, Kobe!

Is this Lisa?

Honest question.

In five years when Kobe is taking less of his shots and with the GIGANTIC caveat that he stays 85-90% healthy I'm not convinced Bynum won't be better than Howard. He is already miles ahead of him in offensive arsenal.

Why so mad?

Why would I be mad? I like to see Bynum doing well I just hate the idea that wasting 15 seconds dribbling in place and launching a 35% shot is a good play just because it's the end of the game.

Kobe chucking is far, far from the only thing affecting Bynum. Bynum is the 3rd option. That's considerably the less pressure than what Dwight has to do in Orlando. Also, Kobe chucking is sporadic - Orlando routinely freezes out Dwight and chucks 3s nonstop. Dwight is their biggest threat and most reliable offense, but he's defended better by his own team than any other team could hope to do. Dwight has never had the benefit of being paired with another 7 footer in the paint either. Most of the time he's the only man in the paint while Bynum has always had Pau beside him and reliable entry passing to depend on.

Dwight's offense gets a lot of unfair shots. In the past two years, his post game has improved tremendously.

Interesting that Bynum can be considered as nearly as good as Dwight when Dwight's team has a better record than the team that has Bynum as the third best player and when Dwight has one other NBA starter on his team.

Bynum would already be retired if he was in Dwight's place.

If you're down 1 with 3 seconds left, then Kobe launching a hero shot is probably the best look you'll get. But if you have 8-9 seconds or more, you absolutely need to run a play for a high-percentage look. Really glad we didn't go with a Kobe iso on that play.

Well the biggest difference right now is that Dwight turns a team of D level defenders into a solid/good defensive team while Bynum protects the rim well, but doubt will ever be a perennial DPOY like Bynum.

Still never been impressed by any post moves Dwight has ever had. His footwork is still a complete disaster compared to guys like Bynum/Jefferson/Randolph/the gasols

No one wants Boozer NO ONE!

He routinely returns home to discover someone changed the locks. Keep that fucker far away from The Lakers.
I bet the Knicks would love a Boozer for Amar'e trade right now. Unfortunately, the Bulls would have to throw in a few more players to make the numbers work.

EDIT: BTW, stop acting like the Lakers are too good for Boozer. You've had Kwame Brown and Smush Parker on your team. Smush, people. Smush!
